nothing covers the spare tire area in the base souls. just a flimsy piece of fabric i think.

It's fabric with some type of thin backing material. It's just thick enough to support the cargo basically.

we don't know what vehicle or model you have to know whether you already have it or want to change it, sounds like maybe a + or !. If so just remove it and put down a piece of carpet or install one on top of piece of plywood. Dealer will know the part number for the thin cover but its just flimsy material.
