I found one I really like on Aliexpress "Car Radio for Kia Soul 2010-2013 Android 2 Din Car Multimedia Stereo Player Navigation GPS Autoradio Head Unit Audio Auto Video" but halfway down the page it states "
Pls attention Hi,Friend
If your car has OEM Amplifier, pls do not buy. Our product can not support Amplifier. Thanks. The factory amp, located in the right rear side panel, pls check before placing order."

My question is "Don't all Souls come with an OEM amplifier? Thanks in advance for your responses.

I know there are other threads on this, but briefly, I got a Pioneer model a few years back, with the PAC SWI CP2 steering control interface, backup camera, and Rydeen RSS1 blind spot detection system. Now they have the Maestro module for my 2015 Soul, and I am thinking of upgrading to that to get better audio control and digital gauges. I did not want the generic Android systems. I had it professionally installed. The blind-spot detection system is not as good as the factory system in our Forester.

My stereo went up for the 2nd time on my 2012 Kia soul. 1st time was after I got the vehicle. 2nd time this past winter. I researched it at length online, YouTube, and stereo dealership. I checked fuses, did multiple resets as well. So i decided that to try this 1st it is less expensive than starting with the amplifier. In the end I took it out and purchased a used one off of ebay. I tore the stereo out myself swapped units and boom music again. Then I replaced the back up camera myself as well. Purchased off ebay for new as well.

Crutchfield actually points to the existence (or not) of a subwoofer in the right side of the trunk area. That means amplifier or not. I think the non-amp don't have the front-middle of dash speaker either.
Unrelated, neither have color lights around the front door speakers?

I would not buy any Chinese ones, mainly because I need to be SiriusXM Ready. And none of those are.

It because of the harness design, Non-Amplifier and Amplifier harness design are little different. Check your bottom of the trunk for Amplifier. Also, the issue of the Amazon one has very-very low speed. It uses the 4-Core Cortex A7 with 1 or 2GB RAM. I know it might be a wating, but check the Aliexpress or if you lucky you can find the smugglers from Ebay for same design with A53 8 Core or A72 8 Core with 3 or 4GB RAM.
