Venue seems too small. Kona has the right size but man is it fugly! Looks like a Pontiac Aztec o_O
I just ran the numbers for the Venue. 8 inches shorter overall than the Soul, and get this: The total amount of cargo space for the Soul is 62 cubic feet. For the Venue it is 26 cu feet.
And 15" tires, and a 1.6L engine. All for exactly the same price as the Soul.

I believe you mean the Buick Envista. But both of them have a 1.2.L 3 cylinder turbocharged engine. We are talking Chevrolet Vega style engine longevity here...:D
Aw . .. come on now. My first new car was a 1974 Chevrolet Vega GT 4 speed Nova manual transmission in metallic red.
I drove it all over while I was a customer service rep and put on almost 90,000 miles in about 2.5 years.
It still was running great, used little to no oil between 4,000 mile oil changes.
Back then, Sears sold quart of oil by the case for $0.25 to $0.30 a quart.
It went through 3 sets of tires but no other repairs that I recall.

It was great since I got $0.18 a mile and more on my expense reports. I would save about $1,500 a year of expense report reimbursement (meals, etc) and bought another new car in 1976.
It cost $3,250, and I still got $1,100 back when I sold it two years later.

Never mind that the front fenders were starting to rust out . . .:D
But so did Honda Civics back then . . .

The 2025 Kia Soul is so much more than those two cars were.

1974 Chevrolet Vega
I think most of the early engine problems were sorted out by 1974. Only the reputation of the earliest ones remained.

An old girlfriend had one, but it was a Buick Pontiac and had a V6. It wasn't horrible, at least no worse than any other compact out of Detroit in those years.

Edit: I just remembered it was a "sunbird" how could I forget! It had a Buick V6 though.

Thanks Boxy1, I changed it to Envista. My parents had a Chevy Envoy and that was stuck in my head. It actually was a nice, solid SUV. But BIG.

I'd never buy another. The 2025 S and it's annoying safety alarms, crappy headlights, and other poorly engineered design points is making me wish I didn't buy it. Got me once. Never again. Actually 2x, but no complaints with the 19 Exclaim.
My Wife likes her 24 S, except for the annoying nanny alarms, alerts. We did a 45 minute drive to supper other nite.... steady on the wheel, consistent speed, passing other vehicles couple of times.... she does speed limit. The nanny kept chiming "take a break...."
In everyday life, she wishes she could !

Umm... It only says "take a break" if you are driving poorly.

Neither dealer knows what they are talking about, but one will be accidentally correct by default. If I was a betting man I would go with eternalwave's dealer's guess over the 🦫 eager beaver dealer this time. ;)
Oh me too. But I'd try to cite a much more reliable source than a Dealer. You know, like a quija board or at least Action News Jackie.

I hope Kia keeps the Soul around.
I'm not a totally new member here, but have lurked since 2021 when we bought daughter a used 2018 Soul +.
Fast forward to the other day and wife and I bought ourselves a 2025 Soul LX with a few options.

When we were at the dealer the sales guy said:
"You know, this will be the last year for the Soul. "

Which is why we bought now rather than wait and find there will not be another year for Soul.
I truly hope not.
I was glad to see in 2020-21 or so, Kia went back to the 2.0L MPFI engine.
Yes, the 1.6L turbo and previous 2.0L Gasoline Direct Injection engine had a bit more power . . . but I favor the Multi Port Fuel Injection for better long term reliability and less probability of oil consumption due to engine oil fuel dilution from GDI.
I just hope the IVT in the past model couple years has good long term life.
I love my 2022 Soul X-Line that my late husband and I bought new in September of 2021. I have not seen another undercover green one like it.

Yeah, Kia is pushing really hard to get there hands on my 2020 KIA Soul. Being low mileage, complete maintenance records, all updates and recalls done, including an engine replacement.
It is mine paid off in June this year.
I guess it couldn’t hurt to do some window shopping. Really not interested in a new one. Going through the new car growing pains again. I’ve accepted the fact I’m maintaining a used car. Something I’ve done my whole life.
Any opinions or advice on trading up?

IF . . . again . . . IF a dealer has a 2025 Kia Soul in stock and you can get it for an agreeable price including tradei-in and current rebates, then it may be worth it.

You would have a 2025 and generally no issues have been posted for any of the issues that some 2020 to 2023 Souls had.
You would benefit from a clean slate, zero miles Kia Soul.
I would look for a Soul LX maybe with the Technology Package and dealer priced at somewhere around 19,000 to 21,000 beginning price minus a generous trade in allowance.

You don't say what your mileage is even though the "new engine" has some bearing. . . . that won't necessarily result in more trade in allowance.
