Production stopped in December. The final few 2025s are trickling in as they were on the water.
Bummer. I hope they aren’t discontinuing this nice car. Wonder if it was aftereffects of the GDI motor fiasco ? Gave Souls a bad name.
Shame,, except for Kia taking features off of the Gen 3, I like the new body styling. It's still definitely a Soul, but with styling changes.
My Wife still kept her 2013 +, bought a 2024 S. I am still searching for my own 2013 +. I like these toasters.
Hey Kia "corporate", what happened to the hamster marketing ? Nice brand promotion.

The AI overview seems to disagree:

Yes, Kia will release a 2026 model year Kia Soul in the United States. The 2026 model is expected to have similar features to the 2025 model, with the possible addition of a new styling package.

Why the Kia Soul is popular

The Kia Soul is a subcompact hatchback that's Kia's most affordable crossover. It's known for being fuel-efficient and roomy for its size.

What to expect in 2026
The 2026 Kia Soul is expected to be similar to the 2025 model, with the possible addition of a new styling package.

Additional information about the Kia Soul
  • The Soul is a boxy hatch/SUV crossover that's roomier than it looks.

  • It doesn't offer all-wheel drive and doesn't have a traditional SUV look.

  • With proper care and maintenance, Kia Souls can last around 10 to 13 years or 150,000 to 200,000 miles.

Ai lol

The AI on DuckDuckGo search gets its information from other searches and websites and has said the same thing. So it basically just sums up other people speculating what’s going to happen to the Soul. I’ve heard it say the Soul will get a 2nd refresh instead of a new generation. I wouldn’t mind that option if it kept the Soul around longer, but I don’t trust it either.

I think it stands for Artificial Idiot o_O

Pretty much it will say anything. Maybe we should create a new persona for it called "Artificial News Jackie."

Kia is phasing out the Soul in some regions, including North America, and 2025 could be the final model year for the compact SUV. Kia is doing this to streamline its lineup and respond to the growing popularity of crossovers and electric vehicles

A new user @Carizma22 tried posting this earlier but it got caught in the spam filter. Sorry, there’s nothing I can do about that, the spam filter doesn’t like 1st posts with links.

Take this for what it’s worth, who knows if it’s true, I hope it is.

Wow. It has all the look and feel of a real press release, something that Corporate Kia would send out to the dealers and let them put it on their websites. A lot a Kia dealer websites use a patterned approach, a couple of versions published by corporate so there is some family uniformity. I have no evidence to doubt it's authenticity.

The automotive press at the moment is distracted by the whole tariff thing. Latest I have read is that South Korea is all over the idea of a negotiated deal, keeping both trading partners happy. If they do, and since Hyundai/Kia already has a strong presence here, 2026 Kia Soul's maybe on the way without interruption.

Hard to tell what is real over the net
Yeah, they had me going also. I saw 3 different pictures of rear of car/ taillights, 2 differnt front pictures. One of rear pics looked like an upgraded Seltos. Guess it is click bait for the we site.
Do wish that Kia corporate would sic their lawyers on these fakes.
I do hope the Soul lives on. Great loyal ownership base. Look how many Forums posters are multiple Soul owners. Despite the GDI problems, piston ringsetc. Still, less problems than Toyota or UAW cars..First time in her life my Wife has bought the same car for her next. Brcause she liked her first one.

I would hope that a Kia dealer, who is in business to sell new Kia Soul automobiles would release accurate information about them. That being said, the internet is getting to be such a problem vis a vis credibility, like you I have a real hard time verifying the real. I would like to see something on the Kia corporate site.

I think you nailed it. Until you see it on the Kia corporate site, or a legitimate review site (as opposed to a random web or YouTube post), you can't trust it.

The modern business model rewards "clicks" as truthfulness is tossed out the window. As I say that, maybe it's always been that way. Bait and switch....shiny penny....act now. Just another form of the con.

Some observations:

@anonimaus claim that 2025 model year Kia Soul production stopped in December 2024 is very believable and would seem to be in keeping with past Kia Soul production schedules. My 2016 model was manufactured in July 2015 per the tag in the door frame.

@Carizma22 account created to publish an announcement from "Kia of Beavercreek":

"Kia of Beavercreek" seems to be in a suburb of Dayton Ohio and "carizma22"is claiming to be from Houston Texas. Sure, I suppose it is possible a customer in Houston Texas was browsing car dealers in Dayton Ohio and created an account here to share this big scoop he found.

Of course none of that proves anything but if there is going to be a 2026 Kia Soul, it won't be officially announced for a few months and won't be for sale until later than that.

It comes up when doing a duck duck go search. It seems to be a real Kia dealer, so hopefully they’re not misleading their customers.

I think it's probably just happy talk by this dealer. I doubt they are in any way privy to this information. It might give them a leg up on clicks and they probably figure it's worth the gamble. Wouldn't be the first time someone in Sales embellished the "facts."

Could be a chicken or egg scenario though. Did a person in Houston Texas discover a 2026 Kia soul announcement from Dayton Ohio and decide to publish, or did misleading spam, maybe out of Houston, elevate search results?

I think it goes back to:

Today I read the class action suit against Kia. The suit had nothing good to say about Kia Corp. and Kia cars. One thing I never thought about was if Kia puts a new engine in a car there is no guarantee the new engine will not have the same problem with oil rings. Also it was pointed out that Kia new about problem but kept advertising their cars as being great and kept selling them to unexpecting buyers.

Agree, wish Kia Corporate were more forthcoming, plus putting kibash on un authorized info using copywritten Kia name, logo. I saw other day "Kia is coming out with a wagon...." Picture looked like a 2 dr Honda Fit. Too funny.
As far as dealer info, depends on dealer. Last year, our local dealer frat boys swore that 2024 was last year for Soul. I asked when 2025 come out, figuring thst would get us an "end of model year" deal on a 2024. No, they weren't lying intentionally. They didn’t know.
