You are right about the MPI motors, much better..The fuel delivery of tge GDI trashes motors.... not nenessirily motor defect. The regular posters here have taught me well. bwdz74, geosoul, rhysoul, flatsoul. In fact, bwdz74 is actually a full time Kia tech.
As reliable as these cars are, GDI aside, most of the negative here is from sketchy dealers. Sounds like your frat boy w/ phoney smile lied to you ! Same as our pretty boys. Wife been through alot of "real life", she rushed into a "deal" for a 2024 S. I tried to explain she would get her best deal at end of model year. Asked pretty boys when 2025's are coming out. "We don't know, they haven’t told us." I pressed him to check, he came back to say " There's no information at all, not even brochures. They might not be making a 2025 because they are trying to sell the Seltos."
Sounds familiar ?
To be honest, I knew of the "rumors" of no more Kia Soul well before we bought.
The sales guy wasn't trying to foist pressure on us whether he is misguided or not.
The Soul we bought was exactly what we wanted well before talking to him. We had several on our watch list that were in transit for a number of weeks and waited till a few showed up and the best deal without having to drive to another state.

But mainly, I researched the "rumor" on here and world wide auto technical websites and there were . . . " purportedly " Kia plans for this to be the last year.
Take it all with a grain of salt, sand or corn grits. LOL
We were buying one anyway since our 7 year old daily driver is being passed on to our other daughter.

I like the way that car looks. If the price was right I might buy one, assuming I liked the rest of it. The Soul was a ripoff of the Scion Xb anyway. Everyone rips off everyone else's good idea instead of reinventing the wheel.
You are not wrong. :) I own both a 2016 base Soul and a 2006 xB. Love them both. Only reason I bought the Soul is because the Toaster is getting close to 300K miles (and still going strong.) That and my son needed a car to drive to work. He gets to drive the Toaster because its AC quit working last summer. I told him if he wants AC he can pay to fix it  but he's not driving the Soul. It's MINE.

Hope this year isn't the last. Kia "corporate" should research how many repeat Soul buyers there are out there. Just on this site, many repeat owners. My Wife loves her 1013 +, so she bought a 2024 S. Still keeps her 2013.
Not everyone wants a Seltos. Nice car though, but I still like the Soul better.

Agree.
Oldest daughter bought a previously owned 2018 and then a 2025 LX.

We like the LX so much we picked up our own a week ago.

I've lurked on over a dozen automotive websites, forums and review sites poring over and taking in info on cars and SUVs for some 15 years now. . . not counting my 2005 truck research.

The Kia Soul held my interest even with some model years having issues.
Guess what? Every car, truck and SUV brand out there has good years to buy and others not so much. I am hoping the IVT with fluid change every 20K to 30K miles and the 2.0L MPI engine provide reliable transportation for a +100K miles.

No, it's actually an old Ford color. My white 66 T Bird was originally this same eggshell blue. Pink was another T Bird color, as well as the late 50's Cadillacs. Elvis had a couple of pink Cadillacs. Definitely not "gay".

D
Colors can't 'be' gay, he said they 'look' gay. There's one of those dang-ugly powder/sky/robins egg blue hideous things around here local. Hate that color. I dry heave a bit whenever I see it.
 🤮🤢

We just got home from Halleen KIA, Sandusky, OH. They had over 20 K4's, maybe 40 Seltos and a bunch of K5's on the lot and saw only 2 2025 Souls, looks like the Soul may be on the way out. Can't sell them if you don't have them.. I really like the Soul for the utilitarian options with the high roof line and hatch in a small, maneuverable package. My brother is a Honda/Accura Tech and he told me sales are dragging, may be a good year to score a new car.

I sold cars for a number of years . For the most part , I LOVED selling vehicles. I still hold the record for the cars in one day . Seventeen !!!
Not all salesmen are crooks . I was taught to pressure each sale , but I wouldn't do it
The owner didn't like my casual way of selling ! He didn't like my sales pitch ! Push , push push ( his way ) He didn't have much to say when I set the still unbroken number.
I just treated people like l wanted to be treated . If you said just looking , l would give them my card and tell them to ask for me if you have questions. Most people liked my technique. A lot of those sales came AFTER I started to walk away . When the owner wanted to pool our sales and split the profit , was the last day I worked for him . I was NOT going to split 17 sales , while another salesman sits by and watch . That and telling him that I would not sell Explorers ( exploders ) . I had gotten calls from concerned customers.
I moved on to a strictly used car lot and made him mad too . I would tell prospective buyers to go to a trusted mechanic to check it over . Not what my boss wanted . He didn't tell me to exactly lie , but if they don't ask don't tell . That them from the " Bible thumping boss " ! I told him I would not lie to sell vehicles . His words were ," It's not a lie if I just don't tell them . " I handed him my keys and walked !

..

I was at the dealership yesterday for an oil change and state inspection. I was chatting with a salesman and he said that Kia has stopped manufacturing the 2025 Souls already. They just received their last 2.

Wow. Close to 300K miles and still going strong - that's great. I looked at the xB back then but ultimately went with a Honda Accord. If the xB had been a little bit larger... :)

With all the recalls, fires, and engine problems. I wouldn't be surprised if Kia car sales drag.

Good for you, don't ever change. A real.honest skilled salesperson doesn’t have to lie, pressure to make sales. Your approach, respect for customers reflects that. 17 in one day ! Great time management, cosidering the paperwork when you close each deal.
Just a guess, you had plenty of repeat customers when they moved on to their next car ?
Thanks for respecting your customers.

That's bogus. Even if they aren't continuing into 2026, they aren’t gonna stop production mid sales year.
I see plenty of Gen 3s out there. Quite a few 2023, 2024.... different front lights/ fog lights in bumper.
