Warning Lights

Hello folks!! Enjoy the lively discussions in here! Now I would like to ask a question. I have a 2017 Soul Base 1.6L GDI, 22,500 miles on her. Well maintained so far. I am not a total idiot with a car but not very handy either.

Twice now I have had 2 warning lights come on but am uncertain what action to take. The manual was not very helpful. The lights are the ABS and ESC. First time was on about 30 minutes and went off. Second time for about 5 minutes. Took car in for inspection and mechanic said since they weren't currently showing, and no OBD codes are showing, he did not know what may wrong, they would have to be on when he is plugged in to tell. Not sure if it's helpful or not, but this happened right after the first time it got cold enough for the annual tire pressure warning to come on. It has since warmed up again.

Anyone know what may have caused the warnings? Anything I need to be concerned about or alert for? Any danger? I will answer any questions you have to the best of my ability, and I appreciate your time and assistance!!

If the lights went out, I wouldn't worry. ESC means electronic stability control error, ABS means anti lock braking system error. If the lights stayed on would mean you need to check those systems. What was the temperature/weather conditions when the lights came on? I know you said it was at the temperature changeover, but what kind of temps are we talking about?

My TPS lights on every vehicle I own go off twice a year, in the fall and in the spring, like clockwork, when we get our first real cold drop and our first real warm up. Cold side is just because of the loss of pressure with colder air, the spring one is generally a big differential between tires somewhere.

When the tire pressure warning alerted did you check the tire pressures? How were the tire pressures compared to Kia's recommended tire pressure?

Issue resolved. It happened as I happened to be passing the dealership and I decided to pop in and ask them. I had accidentally pressed a button by the steering column, he reset it for me and they went off. I am happy now.
