Anyone using Bouncie (GPS tracker) which seems to be highly rated and reasonable subscription price

I posted in the past on what type and where fake alarms for our 2019 Kia Soul should be placed and got a number of excellent ideas and have installed one. Spoke with one of our sheriff's deputies a few weeks ago and he recommended that we consider getting a GPS tracker and Bouncie was one of the ones he liked. You can find this one on AMAZON along with a number of very good reviews. As our local Kia dealer has no timetable yet for when our car will be able to get a security update, and I am ready to move on and install whatever I can to help avoid having our son's Soul stolen. It seems that thefts on or near college campuses continue to grow each month and we would like to get his car back to him. If you are using Bouncie or any other GPS tracker I would be interested in your opinion and what you have learned. Does anyone have a better idea of how to keep his/our Soul from being stolen? I would hope our Forum would take a position and do anything we can to get KIA to take action to get our software security update done now. The continued delay here with thefts and insurance cancellations is unacceptable.
You're feeling the same fear and frustration alot of people have at the crime wave of car thefts of many brands.

As I'm sure you know, your son would have even more to fear if he owned a Civic, Accord, Camry or any pickup truck. The media coverage has people more excited about Kia and Hyundai thefts.

The best way to keep your car from being stolen is common sense. Don't leave visible items in the car. Keep the doors locked and windows up. Park in a garage or well lit areas. Use a Club device.

The GPS tracker, or antitheft device may not keep any thief from breaking a window to try and steal your car. Too many people want to take what doesn't belong to them.

We put an Apple Air Tag in our Kia yesterday and have a Club already that we use. I have not seen any ChevyBoys, DodgeBoys or FordBoys yet and Honda, Toyota, Chevy, Ford, & Dodge are not being sued by 17 state Attorney Generals for the problems created by Kia for the models they sold without immobilizers. Nor have 70 million viewers seen on TikTok how to easily steal a Chevy, Dodge or Ford . People steal cars for different reasons and Kias are being stolen extensively for joyriding so it seems. Likewise, major insurance companies are not canceling their insurance on Chevy, Dodge or Ford cars or not signing up their vehicles. Kia needs to move must faster to resolve the problems their buyers face with the cars they sold them.
Regardless of "why" a car is being stolen, if it's yours it doesn't really matter. Damage done.

You can deny facts all you want, blame Kia for why children are committing criminal acts, but the fact remains that Kia isn't even in the top stolen vehicles in America. Most of those vehicles also don't have immobilizers. It wasn't mandated by law.

Let us know when one of these lawsuits against Kia is successful. The real winner here is the media for glorifying a term like KiaBoyz and profiting off expanding it's growth.

I would be pissed too. But I would not want to park my Soul at an airport.
I must be lucky. The biggest thing that has been stolen from me was a bicycle.
And maybe my dignity, but that was just a little old thing. :p
Stealing someones car is such a selfish, arrogant act. I can only hope karma goes full circle and these young men stealing Kia cars has it done to them and their families when they are older. Then maybe stupid will get how evil they were to other people.
