I have replaced brake lines, the master cylinder, pads and rotors and did multiple brake bleeds on my 2015 kia soul base. And yet I still have a soft pedal that is going down about 50-75% of the way before the brakes are grabbing. I am at loss as to what to do next. and advice and insight would be greatly appreciated!

Did you ever find a fix ? I am having the same issue...

Thanks

I did not remove the guide pins , I Bled the brakes and resolved the issue for a short period of time . I have had guide pins seize before but this is a very spongey pedal with no loss of fluid and no symptoms of a brake caliper hanging up...

I'll pose the same question to you T222VI. Seems like

Same here. It would be nice to learn something from their experience.

T222VI, have you replaced the rubber brake hoses? They usually break down from the inside out. They'll suck shut when you apply the brake pedal and when you release the pedal, they stay collapsed or just partially release. It's just an idea, but you may want to start at one end and see if you can pinch the hose together with your fingers from one end to the other. If you find a soft spot where you can pinch the hose together, replace it. If not, I'm not sure what to suggest. Did you replace the brake hardware? That wears out over time and loses the tension it's supposed to keep on the pads.

Well, it IS 10 years old and time can deteriorate rubber parts and seals. Since you don't drive it very much, maybe the hardware has had tension in one place too long and effected the tension? IDK, just trying to think outside the box.
