Window "wind buffers"

I own a 2021 Soul with less than 6000 miles on it. I wanted to put those "wind buffers" (I'm not even sure if that's what they're called, actually I'm sure they're called something else) that you see folks have on their driver and passenger side windows, they go from the top of the window outside and almost to the door. I spoke with a parts dealer at my Kia dealership and he quoted me a price of well over $200 for two, and when asked if they would put them on he said he'd ask a "tech" and came back quoting me a price of $500 to put them both on. Now as you may have guessed I basically know how to start my car and where the gas goes but even for me this seemed outrageous...any thoughts or suggestions?

I think the brand name is Vent Visor, but there’s a bunch of them available on Amazon.

Maybe someone can chime in on what brands are the best fitting on the Soul.

$500? :ROFLMAO:

What a total rip off. Suggest you never go there again.

Be aware that they create a blind spot on the drivers side along the windshield pillar.

By the way here is a link to OEM vent visors for your Soul, they’re more $$ than the ones on Amazon, but you can install them yourself and not pay the crazy labor the dealer wants.

Yeah, I thanked him for his time and walked away. This is the place that I've given all my business to, oil changes, tire rotations etc...I couldn't believe they'd be that obviously rude. I'm sure they got a big laugh at my expense. I wish I could go somewhere else for service and not worry about whether or not it could void my warranty.

Oh, I definitely did not know that. Thank you that's definitely something to consider.

Thanks so much, this definitely makes looking for and researching them much easier!

Buy factory. I bought mine from a kia dealer in Florida. Best I remember they were around 130.00. Can't remember the name of the dealer. Do a search. They shipped fast. 1st set I received the left front one was broken by FedEx. Called the dealer I bought them from and they sent another set. So now I have 3 extra vent visors. You can search my previous posts where I posted pictures. I don't have any blind spot.

$500? I know the labor rate is up but that still has to be multiple hours billed. And they would have the carwash boy do the install in less than an hour I'm sure.

A thousand dollars? Just think how many blow up dolls I could buy. I could have a whole harem of them. Plus plenty of rolls of duct tape to patch up holes in em. :p :p

I trimmed mine but that will cause them to drip rain at the front when you crack the window. Not a problem for me in southern AZ. I bought them to use as a sun shade.

Keeping the warranty does not require going to a dealer or any specific place for maintenance.

That's why I don't have one installed on the driver's door as I didn't / don't want the blind spot created by the A pillar to be made wider.

This is what I put on and like them. Only downside is the narrowness between windows and shade create a little more cleaning work. AUTOCLOVER Side Window Visor 6 Piece Set for KIA Soul 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 / Safe RAIN Out-Channel Guard Deflector (Dark Smoked) https://a.co/d/doyYNZ3

You can check with Weather Tec. Good luck. They advertise those devices on their website. They do advertise the attached mud flaps but not for my 2019 base Soul.

This is what I bought a couple years ago. Took me 10 minutes to install. Peel & stick. $50. They look good and have been through multiple car washes with no problem. I haven't noticed any blind spot issues. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PCR81RT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
