Still enjoying the ride.
This old phart 2 meters tall with 12,000 miles on his EX is also comfortable with 35 to 41 mpg. Only problem was master window switch which was replaced three times. Maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned the switch because every time I have it has gone kaput.17,200 with no problems. Getting decent mileage and is quite comfortable for my 78 year old 6’7” body.
you're the winner so far on the mileage. if u could sell yours today for $2-3Kish more than you purchased it, would you (lets just pretend you wouldn't need to replace cost doesn't factor in)? or do you love it enough that you would keep it despite the profit potential?2020 LX with 37k
I have some oil consumption issues which were about half a quart per thousand miles but appear to be improving greatly the longer I stick with full synthetic.
I racked up my first 30k pretty quick since my wife and I were commuting together on opposite sides of town and sharing one vehicle. She works from home now and my office moved closer so now I bike commute. I feel much better about the miles we’re driving now.
mine is a sled lol, not fun to drive at all but gets the job done, loudly, with annoying air control habits (like switching to fresh when i just put it to recycle or viceversa), and that *&%$ engine killer button that you have to turn off EVERY SINGLE TIME you start the vehicle. also the way some controls are illuminated yellow when off and some are just the opposite, not illuminated at all. like would it have killed them to keep it uniform? and the headlights are granny 1950 weak like driving by romance light lol. u might have a sportier version and maybe that helps but i find the car annoying af.OK, another auld phart weighs in:
On my 2013 Soul, I logged 75k miles before I traded her off for my first 2020 Soul, on which I added 36k before she got rear-ended, and totaled. Now on my second 2020 Soul, I've added almost 10k since last December, when I drove her home for the first time on Christmas Eve day.
So, I guess I've logged 121,000 miles in a KIA Soul, since the summer of 2012. Or more recently, 46K in a 2020 Soul (x2), since May of 2019.
The Soul is just FUN to drive, and I love driving one. Mileage is secondary to just having fun.
Just going to the store, I might take off down a dirt road, just for the H311 of it.

but she was cheap so i knew she wasn't a performer but the controls are just so stupid.mine is a sled lol, not fun to drive at all but gets the job done, loudly, with annoying air control habits (like switching to fresh when i just put it to recycle or viceversa), and that *&%$ engine killer button that you have to turn off EVERY SINGLE TIME you start the vehicle. also the way some controls are illuminated yellow when off and some are just the opposite, not illuminated at all. like would it have killed them to keep it uniform? and the headlights are granny 1950 weak like driving by romance light lol. u might have a sportier version and maybe that helps but i find the car annoying af.
well i'm just gonna assume that you have a better version than i do that u enjoy the way she drives. i mean, i don't hate her (i do hate those annoying control items tho) but to me, drives like any other cheap basic car, which she is and i never expected more than that. except for where wind is concerned, never had a car that had trouble in wind before engine performance wise (a little) and handling wise (a lot).
When you learn how to operate the car, (RTFM) you may even enjoy it as much as some of us do!
Possibly, each control was designed by a different engineer. But, they all work!

Just push the button in to turn it off, then jam a piece of a business card or toothpick in it to keep it pushed in. This has been discussed quite a bit on here. There’s also some aftermarket module you can install that connects to the switch that keeps it off. But it’s like $100 and the business card trick does the same thing.for sure have looked at the manual for a way to keep that kill engine "feature" (isg) off without having to push the button every single time i start it...nada.
ty! i like her better already just thinking about keeping that feature off lolJust push the button in to turn it off, then jam a piece of a business card or toothpick in it to keep it pushed in. 42,000 miles on a 2020 LX. Runs like the day i bought her, Feb 14 2020. Change the oil every 5,000 miles, kia oil filters and crush rings, castrol syntec oil.
awesome glad she's doing so well! all things being the except same knowing what you know now about her, would you buy another?42,000 miles on a 2020 LX. Runs like the day i bought her, Feb 14 2020. Change the oil every 5,000 miles, kia oil filters and crush rings, castrol syntec oil.
nothing wrong with being a cheap economy car especially when that is exactly what i thought i was purchasing. are u trying to make an offer tho? i might consider...So, one second to push a button is too much of a hassle? You don't like the way it drives? Feels like a cheap economy car?
If I had a vehicle I was so unhappy with I'd get rid of it and buy something else.![]()
