Hey gang, been a while....
Well, I have 59k on the ole girl now and I am considering tires soon. Looking for your recommendations and experiences.
What I hope to accomplish first and foremost is smooth out the ride the low profile 18 tires provide.
I have heard great things about the Continental line of tires, but my gut is leaning Michelin.

I might as well replace the shocks at the same time, what are your thoughts there?
Thanks for any input you may offer.

Happy & safe holiday wishes to all.

I went to buy Michelins, then was talked into Cooper. Won't do that again. I live in NW Georgia, so not a lot of snow or ice, just rain. But after having a '99 Subaru Forester that had a wonderfully smooth ride, my 2018 Soul + had a bumpy ride. The Coopers were supposed to be smooth-riding -- they didn't help. Next time around I'll get Michelins!

I guess I'll be the contrarian and say if smoother ride is the priority then getting a little more sidewall is 1000x more productive than whatever name is on the sidewall of those rubberband tires for your 18" rims. Drop down to preferably a 16" or even 17" wheel will give a much better ride.
