I don't think I agree, but have seen that comment before.
Washed my Soul yesterday and went to park in the sun for a while to make sure it was dry.
Some one had a new Range Rover there, so I had to take a couple pics.
Maybe there is some resemblance in the front end. Might be closer with a 3rd gen soul and the narrow lights.

Well....when you put it THAT way :)

I do think it's probably the Gen3 that it looks closer to. In our defense, some of the online & YouTube reviews have said it does as well. So you know, it must be true :)

The Land Rover is bigger, but my first pic seems to exaggerate the diff.
I'm guessing because the Soul is farther from the camera.
I have no idea what that Rover costs, suspect Soul beats it easily on that front.

Too bad the Soul does not have off-road abilities. If it did, we could call it the 'poor man's 4WD'.

That was a common description of the old Volkswagen beetle way back when.

I used to call our Nissan Sentra 1987 'wagon' that too. Then I blew up the chassis of the Sentra on a deeply rutted muddy road into a kamloops trout lake and replaced it with a bona fide 4WD -- an early generation Nissan Pathfinder. A rear strut punched a hole through the chassis. Managed to limp out and then back to Vancouver where we called a wrecker to take it to a boneyard.

The boxy look, ample space and large windows of the Soul do remind me of the look and windows of several 4WD vehicles including the Land Rover and the old Pathfinder. Probably what drew me to the Soul in the first place. Well, that and my 6' 5" carcass fits comfortably.

I think it's the Range Rover Evoque that it's striving to be. Isn't that a full on Land Rover in the picture Monster? It looks huge.

All I know is what you see in the pic, I don't know Land Rovers.
I think it was brand new, looked to have a paper plate.
Seems they have started to give you paper plates with actual numbers when you buy a new car.
Just based on my observations lately.

OK, had to look. It looks rather Soul like. :giggle:

That's the one!
They had to write R A N G E R O V E R on it so you'd know the difference.

I looked it up. RANGEROVER is Korean for OVERPRICED.

The SOUL is the car you buy if you need to get somewhere without a breakdown :)

LOL. Some people apparently like to brag about how expensive their car was.
I have the cheap ass gene, so I am happy my Soul was not too expensive but still has nice features and a good reliability rating.

The great thing about the Soul is that it DOESN'T look like other SUVs which to me all look pretty much exactly alike.

It has it's own funky style for sure.
At first I thought it was weird, but it did not take long to grow on me. :)

A little more "junk in the trunk" so to speak? ?

I liked Souls from the first day I saw one, but I really love the Gen 2's styling, both inside and out.

I also liked the Scion xB when it first came out and I saw it at the Chicago Auto Show. When my brother needed a new car I told him to check out the "box" car and he ended up buying one. He was in love with that Scion. Years ago I traveled with him and his xB for several weeks throughout Florida on a roadtrip vacation and I can honestly say I find the Soul much more comfortable, at least from the passenger seat. It also rides better, the xB was a stiffer ride and felt like a lighter car.

I guess being fans of box cars runs in the family. ?
