Right, let's revive this thread again because we have an excellent subject to discuss.
Rick took a great photograph here, but as with most photos there is still room for improvement and that's nothing to do with Rick's photography at all. Hopefully some of the stuff I've talked about in this thread has stuck in his noggin because the car is beautifully framed by the wind pump and the trees, plus the gateway. The wind-pump is a very important element in the picture. It leaves us in no doubt that were out in the countryside y'all and as such defines the main subject because that's where Rick lives.
This is a great photograph, but it's also a great Portrait of the vehicle. It's a very frame-able picture, but like most human portraits there are days when a photographer captures a great picture of you, but you just happen to have a big zit on your nose. Not what you want to frame and hang on your wall. The zits in this picture are the little visual distractions that tease the eye away from Rick's fabulous Soul which I'm sure he never intended.
This is where I get my own back on Rick for all those photos he's posted in the past every time he makes a little mod to the car and we're supposed to spot them. Take this Busby and tell me all the visual tweaks I've done.
