Replacing outside mirror unit, 2013 + ?

Looks like my "new" 2013+ had drivers side mirror replaced by one from.a base... both alien color. One of my favorite features are the signal.lights in mirror housings. How are the mirrors themselves powered ? Small motor, or servo ? The replacement base model works w/ switch, guess I need to plug in the donor unit to make sure it works ? That simple ?
Also, there is a triangular cap inside covering mounting screws. Does this simply pop off ? Don't want to Crack it.

The cap inside should be covering the mounting screws for the mirror. I had to replace a folding mirror gear on a Genesis I owned and it's basically the same for most cars. I'm replacing the same screw on my Soul in a few days when the replacement gear comes in. I'll post back to confirm.

The interior cap pops off. Use a butter knife or pry tool. There will be three bolt/screws holding the mirror.
