I've searched but can't seem to find any rear bumper protector strips or moldings. I have a scratch I'd like to cover up & protect the rest of the top of the bumper.

Have you tried the dealership? My 2010 came with one on it but my 2011 did not but I wasn't being picky just because I was trying to match my totaled 2010...
Although playing in a band I am really starting it up so I think I'll take my own advice and ask my connection at the dealer. I'll let ya know how I make out.

Where exactly on the bumper? The top part where it meets the hatch?

I had a nice rubber strip, but it became unglued and my wife lost it. So now I just put two strips of grip tape and dig the look.

Yeah the top part or maybe wrapping down to cover below the top. Many Suv's have them but the bumpers are usually flatter on the top.

I got the OEM clear bumper applique from Amazon for $32.50:

You can get a BumperBully and just flip it out when you park your car and flip it in when you drive.
