Here in Florida most local Kia dealers use a local company to put real painted pinstripes on their cars including the Soul. When I bought mine they did not have pinstripes so I contacted the business who paints them and had my Soul done in a two tone blue...here are photos. These are actually painted on and add just enough to make it look cool.
That's exactly the same type and position that my dealer put on mine... but I had them removed. Looks better on yours.

My dealer picked up my Soul from another dealer that decided it should have rater tacky pin-striping on it, as soon as the weather gets better I will be banishing them to the bin.

Good points about the chrome.As I mentioned,I'm not a chrome fan.However,as used as a "outline"
it works.I noted pics of Soul coupe mock ups also,some "special editions" of sorts that added a SMALL
like quarter inch chrome strip along the top of the doors and a bigger( about 1/2" or so )strip running
below along the rocker panel.I bought some chrome stripping to duplicate this on my 2013 +(would work
on a 014)and it looks great.You really do not notice the chrome.It just gives defintion to parts of the
sides with a "underlining".Visually,it lowers the vehicle a bit.Since my Soul is titanium,it just blends.
Pretty cheap mod too!

Pictures, please?

I'll be putting a pinstripe on my 2014 tomorrow. I'll post pics when I'm done.

When I got my Soul, it had two tiny little black stripes taped on the sides of the car. Just a few feet away they almost disappeared. I wanted something that would make the car "POP", so while I was at the Window Tinter, I pulled off the black tape and had him put on the 1/4" RED tape. That worked. It worked equally well on two other white cars that I've had in the past. I did those myself. Taping is really quite easy.
I even put the 1/4" red tape on a Cobalt Blue Suzuki Forenza I had a while back. That looked pretty cool too!
It's all about 'Contrast'.

Color perception is one of the first things to GO! lol

It does look a little wider than 1/4" though.

One thing I've noticed, is that the ridge down the side of the 2013, that lends itself to striping, is GONE on the 2014, along with the black side bumper. That leaves the side of the 2014 looking very plain vanilla, and removes much of the personality of the earlier Souls.

This old dude just doesn't care for that at all.

:cool:

Yes, true. I put the bumper strips on mine and that is why I am putting on a pinstripe (if I ever get off my ass and do it again). Too much open territory. But I have found that the bend in the sides is not even front to back and it makes things a little more touchy trying to get it straight. At least for me but it is obvious that my eye sight is going. I also want some chrome door handles because I think that they line up nicely with the hood gap.

Wow, I missed that completely. Need a trip to the optometrist. :)
Cataracts will make colors a bit dull and pale lavenders will look grey. blues are more subdued and whites greying yellow. I was rather shocked how bright my bathroom was after I had cataract surgery. Was neat when just one eye was done as I could see the color differences...cover up the 'good' eye then the other eye that had yet to have the surgery. Surgery is no big deal...pretty painless as is follow up. IV catheter prick was the most uncomfortable thing...so no big deal.

@Napoleon
Probably would have helped/shown better if you had taken photos "straight on" and not angled so much, looks like part of the world is sinking! Also would have been better if you would show both ends of the pinstripe. Just my opinion, and we all know bout opinions. ;)

Which was the reason I put the accent molding on and chose the lower black protection molding...plants the vehicle more. The horizontal molding that's placed midway on the doors just did not look good to me.

@nick1946
I'll get some better detailed pics of the stripe when I get the chance.
