Yes, it was $61 and change to me. One of the other places said all sales final. I ordered from Smithtown Kia in NY. They advertise having the lowest prices online. There were different shipping options, one a few cents cheaper than this that would arrive a little later.
Subtotal: $129.61
Estimated Standard Shipping: $22.96
Total: $152.57

So, are they really selling Souls withOUT any floor cover in the cargo area? Looking at the trim levels online, it looks like there is no mention of a cargo cover until the EX level...dang. A friend just took delivery of an S that had the spare and surrounding area fully exposed...not even the vinyl floppy cover. Sales dude said that's correct. Dang
Not speaking of the rigid floor that adjusts to the higher or lower levels, just a cover for the spare area.

My 2020 LX came with a semi-rigid cover over the spare that covers the entire floor behind the rear seats. That cover can also be taken up and put in the higher position, but it's not strong enough for loading stuff even with the back seats in the folded down position. It was in the car when I bought it, and there's no mention of it on the window sticker, so I think it's standard equipment.

That's how our LX came also. I started to make a plywood cover, then bought the rigid KIA one. Glad I did but really KIA:(

It sounds like the LX would have the cover, but not the S and GT? That doesn't make sense to me. They should have included something basic and then offered an optional upgrade. Seems like they wanted to cut corners like crazy in the cargo area(including NO privacy roller screen option).
I guess my friend will end up plopping down another $250 to make the cargo area more useful(although I could take a swing at making a rigid floor as some have mentioned) . Would be great to have a template for the outline ;)

I don't know. Maybe the rear cargo area is somehow different on the S, EX and GT. I do know that I'd like to have a sturdy version of what is in there for times when I need to fold the seats down. the upper rail where that cover will fit lines up pretty well with the folded seats. I may make a piece that fits there, but that doesn't cover the entire floor area. It would be easy to make. Then, i could just leave the cover over the spare and use the second thing when I needed to load something in with the folded seats. It could lie on the floor until it was needed and wouldn't take up much space. I'll have to think on that a bit.

Besides, since I have a pickup now, I probably won't need it anyhow.

you should post a photo of that cover so the others have a better idea. I can't do it as all our Canadian models have the dual-level cargo floor standard.

Our S came with a thin carpeted cover over the spare. It’s fine.
However to make better use of the space I ordered the adjustable floor from the local dealer parts dept for $169 I think it was and installed that in the upper position giving a hidden area underneath it for stuff we carry but don’t use often and then just have the groceries etc above it. Was worth having.

Yup, count me for another that finds it utterly ridiculous for KIA to not include this. I can understand it 'a little' if it was just on the cheapest base model with absolutely nothing in it, and then make it optional, but when I looked at the GT line (sans Turbo) and the X-Line models I did not expect these to be omitted. I purchased mine online along with the cargo tray from KIA and it just changes the usability of the cargo space immediately. I had a 2012 Soul that my 2020 X-Line replaced, as well as the 2013 Soul (they were both + models), and that cargo board is a must as far as I'm concerned. Idiotic to omit it and then idiotic to not have the dealer pounce on it to market it. But oh well, I have it covered (pun intended).

I got it here since the reviews of this dealer are good (on resellerratings.com) and I didn't want an issue with an eBay dealer or scheister discount dealer that doesn't care about how (or what) they ship; the price 'may' seem higher than others, but the shipping costs were way less and that balanced it out to be pretty much the same as any of the others:

So, my friend DID get her basic floor cover from the dealer after a bit of hassle. We might take a shot at making a rigid floorboard to get the higher level and some hidden storage underneath. The one in our FIAT L is very light and a bit flexible(supposedly rated for 200#; but I'm not going to test it...cases of water, etc go along the side supports, not in the middle!). Too bad I don't have a hunk of carbon fiber lying around :) Maybe some rigid insulation with a skin of some sort...hmmm .

Oh, I got the 'basic' cover that covers the bottom but not the one that is the higher level one. That basic cover is not sufficient by any means, I use the cargo area a lot. Honestly, the OEM one for the higher level is really nice and it is designed well, plus it gives you an entire storage area below that is functional. I'm glad I bought it and the cargo tray; since I feel I got a great deal on the car I can deal with the cost I found it for. Just feel it's one of those things (like the missing heated mirrors) that KIA should've included or allowed as an option; it's one of those things that makes the cars a great value in the past.

Thanks...My friend will decide if the base/flexible floor is enough; but I think the adjustable floor/shelf will come in handy, especially with no shade/cover/parcel panel to hide things in the cargo area. Still think I could make one and maybe enjoy the process ;)
As you said, options seem to be at a minimum on the new Soul. I've only seen(in person) one Soul with anything other than floor mats listed as an option.

I made the thing modular on purpose, so that it’s lightweight to lift out, and modifiable if I need a wider section in the future. So the bottom is open, but I cut down some $5 “boot trays” I found at Big Lots. Boot tray as in what you set your muddy boots on before entering the house. Black plastic with an inch-high lip around it. Almost a perfect fit. I wanted the tray just to hold up the cover so I could roll a lawnmower in occasionally and it works perfectly for that. I found a 2012 tray for $35 about a 3 hour drive from me. I’m certain I could modify it to fit, but I didn’t like the plethora of small dividers. I modeled mine after the more recent year trays. Plus that $35 one didn’t include a cover.

So what size are the boot trays?? I have a new 2020, didn’t “need” so I looked at the features. My sales guy didn’t tell me the upper floor wasn’t included in mine.. and I called him out on it big time. I’m taking mine in to have the remote start installed. He said he’s let me know then

What size are the boot trays? Is it one or two? And what did you find to put on the top?
That raised and lowered floor was a big deal to me, and I may end getting it. My sales guy didn’t tell me it wasn’t included on what ever model I bought, but he made a big deal about how great it was. I called him out on that.. it’s silly what can be a deal breaker... so I may get it & will know Friday.. but in case I need to learn how to make one. Thx!!
