You can buy a spare tire kit online or at your dealer with or without a mounted tire. I got mine at this link last year. Price has gone up considerably since but in my opinion it’s worth it.

I bought a spare wheel and hold down kit from Amazon. I bought a tire at Walmart and put it all in myself for a total investment of about $150.

Had my 2016 Soul a double years now Still dying to get use to not having any type of spare tire.Is this a concern for others.
Mine didn't come with a spare. Early on considered getting a spare but I like having the extra storage not having a spare gives me. If I drove out-of-town much I'd give greater consideration to adding a spare.

I would recommend you get a spare tire , it could save yourself a lot of trouble , sometimes you cant even get a tow truck when you need one , I would not trust the tire inflation kit that comes with the car unless you have a very slow leak , it wont help if you get a blow out or badly damaged tire.

I needed a spare tire many times , one time an old rusty steel file punctured my tire and caused a blow out while only going 15 mph

Bought a '16 a few years back and bought the spare tire kit on line. About a year later, hit a nasty pothole as I was making a turn and the edges of the pothole ripped into the tire. Soooo glad I had the spare. No friggen stupid @$$ pump would have saved me.

I told the dealer that they had to provide the Spare kit or I wouldn't buy the car. They had to order it, so I went to pick up it up and now have both.
Good for you. I've spoken to several Hyundai & Kia dealership reps over the years and have complained about the no-spare issue. One guy said you get better mileage without the donut. Wow. Another said it helps keep the cost of the vehicle down. Another Wow. Let's see...a $21500 Kia Soul without the spare; a $21650 Soul with a spare...A $150 difference spread out over a 4 yr loan. I say, don't insult my intelligence by either of these lame excuses.

My 2014 did not come with a spare. After six years and 60k miles of ownership, I never needed it.
In 30+ years of driving, I've needed a spare twice. Some folks are just more paranoid about what might happen.
For me it was a matter of having my wife stranded with her car if she got a flat tire, which I wouldn't do, so I bought a spare tire and jack. Not that I expected her to change the flat tire, but when I got there or she got someone else to change it, it's still better and cheaper than calling a tow truck if the inflator system didn't work.

I look at a spare tire as a one time insurance payment. You hope you don't need to ever use it, but if you get a flat, you'll be glad you bought it.

I have a full size with matching rim. Unlike a donut I can get a flat repaired when It's convenient.
I just got one at my local "junk yard" for $125. The tire has more tread than the 4 on my car. The other nice thing about a matching rim is you can incorporate the spare in to tire rotation if you want. Of course that means buying 5 tires instead of 4.

I found a complete kit on Ebay for very little money. I have since trashed the flimsy stock jack, and bought a heavier duty scissor jack at AutoZone. I may just not have used it well, I'm not sure. Anyway, spares and jacks are available easily, and at a much lower price than the 2 or $300 the dealership will charge.

Just a reminder for those who have a spare; inflate it to 60 PSI. I typically will check two times a year to make sure the spare tire is properly inflated on both of our vehicles.
