I bought a set of winter tire from a 2018 Niro wheel
I double checked the wheels spec for niro wheels are 2mm outer than the soul EV. Also confirmed at the back of the wheel today that the offset are as follows

Niro : 16 x 6.5 @ 45mm
Soul EV: 16 x 6.5 @ 47mm

when I put the wheels on, the niro wheel rubs the caliper. This is really strange. a smaller offset (outer wheel from centerline) rubs the caliper...?

Question2: What's the thickest spacer I can go without using longer studs?

I think so, I haven't measured it but it seems Niro wheel spoke are thicker...

Update: I purchased a 3mm spacer 5x114.3 @ 67.1mm bore , and will see if these works..

Likely just that the spokes start at a more shallow point on the Niro wheels. Unfortunately just because wheels have a same size and offset, it does not mean that the have the same internal clearances.
