I just joined the forums, but we've had a Kia Soul for a while. My wife bought a Alien Green 2010 new in Oct. 2009. She works at a rock quarry, so this poor thing has been under attack by limestone dust all of its life. She also drives at least 40 miles (up to 75 miles, if they send her to another quarry) one way 5 days a week. It is just shy of 270,000 miles. Other than routine maintenance, we've had the timing belt and water pump changed as preventive maintenance and had the spark plugs changed once. I replaced the brake pads and rotors at about 200,000 miles. Other than that, we've just drove it. It's been the most dependable car we have ever had . . . but I'm afraid it's mileage is about to catch up with it. I will need to start looking for advice on fixing the stuff that goes south, so I figured this forum would be a great place to start hanging out.

I'm in northwest GA near Chattanooga, TN
