I would not flat tow unless the car being towed is a manual transmission. I flat-towed a sedan years ago and later I was warned about transmission damage even in neutral, maybe because it was rear-wheel drive. The Kia is front-wheel drive so would be easy to get a tow dolly, drive front wheels on, lock it down and not have to worry about back wheels. I've seen a lot of motor home campers going down the highway using a tow dolly system for front-wheel drive vehicles. Also keep in mind that unlike towing trailers, you can't back up more than just a few feet with either flat-tow or tow-dolly w/ car.
