Looks like the gain in overall sales is primarily due to the Telluride (96%).

I saw a SX Telluride at the gym today. Amber DRLs. Black wheels. Kind of a dark bluish gray. Wow. What a gorgeous SUV. The front row windows were darkened, which I'm guessing is after market. They are illegal in Washington State, but tons of cars have them. Can't see the driver from the side.

The 2020 Souls sales surprised me with the low numbers from the previous year. Hmmm.....why?

Seltos sales?
I should also add that the Coronavirus could have a serious effect on Kia models coming out of South Korea, as factories have had to close for some time and also many components are coming from China that could effect the supply line.

IRVINE, Calif., April 1, 2020 – Kia Motors America today announced March sales of 45,413 vehicles, led by the Optima and Forte. The first three months of 2020 saw the Sportage SUV – Kia’s longest-running nameplate in the U.S. – realize best-ever first quarter sales of 20,057 units.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with those directly and indirectly affected by this terrible virus and we hope that significant containment is achieved over the coming weeks,” said Bill Peffer, vice president, sales operations, Kia Motors America. “To show both our customers and our dealer partners that we’re in this together, we implemented Kia’s Accelerate the Good program, which will help new and existing customers impacted by the uncertainty created by the COVID-19 outbreak with payment deferral programs that will continue until further notice. Our primary concerns are for the health of our employees, those that work throughout our nationwide network of Kia dealers and our customers, as well as the future of our business.”

IRVINE, Calif., May 1, 2020 – Kia Motors America today announced April sales of 31,705 vehicles, led by the Optima and Sorento models.

“Despite these uncertain times, Kia continued to outperform the industry in April and consumer demand for key products like Telluride and Seltos remained extremely high,” said Bill Peffer, vice president, sales operations, Kia Motors America. “Kia’s Accelerate the Good program will continue to provide valuable incentives, support initiatives and charitable giving to those affected by this pandemic and those that need it most. "For the auto industry, the crisis has left cars gathering dust on dealer lots, dealerships shuttered, auction prices slipping and tens of thousands of workers laid off or furloughed. April U.S. sales plummeted 54% for Toyota Motor Corp., 47% for Subaru Corp. and 39% for Hyundai Motor Co."

update, I think this is for March not April as I originally thought (this website I get it off is so confusing you don't know what month you are looking at, as they just say "Last month" which could be two months ago), as it does not match a report today for April from Mazda Canada which was down 81.1% selling 1,191.

Change for all combined Canadian Brands in April 2020, -55%
The future is far from rosey. Where will all these cars go?
Will there ever be a 2021 Soul?
