The next vote will put someone in the lead, narrowly!! :applause:
Right on , that rig is clean !Technosnob all the way. Nicest one up there.
Is anyone else experiencing difficulty voting? It all looks good to me. I can't test it because I don't vote unless we end up with a tie and we need to break it.This is only the 28th, and when I try to vote I am informed the poll is closed. And this while the score is tied!
The fact is, that the competition is open to anyone and people vote for the Soul they like the best. Everyone has different tastes, so we've even had bog-stock Souls win. One I can think of was a black Redzone Soul and that's just a reinforcement of how right KIA got with the styling on that model.Come on, why are there more votes for the (stock) first Soul than the modified last Soul. Imo, the Soul of the month has to he something special, something where the owner has done some work for.
I voted for the fourth Soul, but the second one is also fresh!
Preach! I wish I could like your post a million times! (I did vote for the second though. I just like it more.)Come on, why are there more votes for the (stock) first Soul than the modified last Soul. Honestly, I think it should matter though. The fact is, that the competition is open to anyone and people vote for the Soul they like the best. It doesn't matter how much money and parts you throw at a Soul or any other modified vehicle, the sum total of the parts may not be to other people's tastes. Often, "less is more" is what gets the vote.

If someone (including myself) pours their blood, sweat, tears, and THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS into a build, they deserve to win a hell of a lot more than someone who has put in 0. Little things like winning "Soul of the Month" can mean a lot. I almost lost to stock Souls back in May, and thankfully I didn't. It was way too close than I would've liked though. And if I did lose, I would have felt seriously robbed.
Agreed 100%. Mods are done to the owner's tastes and may not suit everyone else. That's why we usually don't have Miss America contestants with body piercings, tattoos, and breast implants. If your mods have broad appeal, then that will be reflected in the voting. The fact is, that the competition is open to anyone and people vote for the Soul they like the best. This too. Presentation is very important. The framing and shine of technosnob's entry above weighed into my voting decision more than anything else. It's why I've pushed and promoted excellence in photography for presenting your car to the people who may vote for it.
I like it!Quite easy on the voting problem! Have a large voting header banner when voting opens and until you vote, you cannot access the rest of the Forum!
Exactly................very well adressed :fat:To those who have made many mods to their cars,
In all fairness, we are just being asked which car is our favorite.
As an analogy, I can go into a dress shop and admire an exquisite $3500 beaded gown that probably took someone many months to sew by hand, or I can just as easily 'ooh' and 'ahh' over a simple $30 dress, finding just as much beauty in it. It sure doesn't mean that I can't appreciate the expensive dress. Maybe the $30 dress is just more my personal style.
All of the modified cars that I've seen on here are incredible, and I admire each and every one of them. Hopefully, all who accomplished these mods are proud of themselves and what they created. I also hope that every time one of you looks at your modified car, your heart swells. That's how I feel even with my "unmodified" car.
When all is said and done, it should be ourselves that we need to please the most.
