I will let you all decide if it worth getting one from them.

Called the local pd front desk and they had one left.
Went there and showed them my insurance with the type of car on it (Kia Soul).

They gave me a The Club Pedal Lock.

I never had one one these before and don't know how well it will work.

Interesting. It’s just a deterrent, it’s not going to stop someone determined to steal a car. I think the steering wheel locks are more visible though and might work better as a deterrent because the POS thief might not see this pedal lock until he’s already broken into the car.

What city are you in?
A baseball bat works best. Beat knots on the thiefs head. Law enforcement really needs to crack down on thieves.
Guess who winds up paying for their stealing? We do. It's a pandemic now , cause thieves know nothing is going to happen to them. I hate thieves.

Me too. I think punishment/restitution should be a family affair. Bring in mum & dad too. After all they created the little buggers

I have a flood light on my driveway and two 9mm pistols on two different night stands. I sleep light, so if anyone tries to steal my sons Soul or my Forte, they will be shot. And due to the price of ammo these days, I don't fire warning shots.

[/QUOTBe careful. In Virginia you can not shoot a thief.

I don't live in Virginia. I live in Alabama where the idiot governor just passed a law that you can now legally carry a concealed weapon WITHOUT a permit. Every sheriff in all 67 counties was against that law, but she passed it anyway. Memaw carries a .38 in her purse.

That ^^^^^^ has nothing to do with shooting a thief.
If you fire a gun outdoors at someone, it better be a matter of life or death to you.
Otherwise, you will go to jail shooting at someone - then criminally prosecuted - then be face with a civil lawsuit, should that bullet land inside the thief's body.

Do you live in ALABAMA, Joe? If not, then your opinion doesn't mean diddly squat to me. If YOU or anyone else comes on my property and tries to steal something from me, I would shoot you or them. Now if you come on my property and see something you'd like to have and ask politely for it, I'd probably give it to you. Just depends on what it is.

A warning shot will easily send someone running. Unnecessarily killing someone who is not a physical threat is murder. Murdering someone over a Kia is sad and pathetic.

Anyone else tired of internet tough guys talking about their guns?

I guess you didn't read my entire last post. I'm old, mentally unpredictable due to two brain surgeries, disabled and just fed up with people who are too damned lazy to work for what they want. Too many turds out in the world who THINK they're entitled to everything.

So you mean that if you caught someone stealing something from you, you wouldn't try to stop them? You call the cops they might take a report and that's the end of it? Thieves need to learn there's consequences for their actions.

You’re right, there are no consequences anymore. In some states they’ll just get a slap on the wrist at the most. If more thieves thought they were going to get shot, maybe they would rethink their decisions and not steal in the first place.

I think we should have public caning as a deterrent. Used to be in South Korea, if they caught you stealing and it was minor, they'd tie you up in front of the courthouse, strip you down and whip the hell out of you with a cane pole. Very humiliating and with a large crowd watching, very effective. We should do something like that here. I guarantee if we had corporal punishment, our crime rates would drop. Our laws and penalties are far too soft. You murder someone here and confess to it, you're usually out of prison in 7-10 years. It doesn't seem to matter that the judgement for sentence is 25 to life. Most get paroled after just a few years. Personally, I don't think that's much of a deterrent.

Caning is a lot more than humiliating, it hurts like hell. When these punks steal a car they need a good caning.

Sure I’d try to stop them and I have stopped my vehicle from being broken into before. No killing was necessary.

lots of options between letting someone steal your vehicle and murder…

The problem is there's nowhere to put the people that really need to be in jail because the jails are filled up with drug users and petty thieves stealing to get their dope fix. Decriminalized all drugs, go back to red-light districts where people could die in the gutter high if they wanted to, empty out the jails and now you've got someplace to put all these other shitbags that need to be in jail. Murderers, sex offenders, violent assaulters and serious thieves getting out on parole is bullshit.

But I digress. What we really need for car thieves is something like this:
