Hi I'm looking into purchasing a soul because of its comfort. However my concern is the safety of this vehicle. It ranks as the 7th deadliest car according to iihs. Any thoughts on this? Are they really that unsafe, or is it more the type of driver that tend to buy kia souls.

edit: I can't link the data because its my firs post.

Thanks, conwelpic.

That's weird, I guess a lot of small cars failed their front overlap in 10 - 13 then since Souls were definitely on the TSP list.

the front overlap test was a new test feature brought out by IIHS in 2012, so obviously manufacturers have to do a catch up if they failed that part of the test, which was solved by the G2 version in the 2014 model year.

look at this link and you will see how the results have changed from 2010-18

Welcome to the forums, the Soul's safety rating was one of the biggest influences in me buying a Soul.
