Thank you. I believe you ge a lot more snow than we do here in SE Pa. And usuall, it’s heavy wet stuff that quickly turns to slush.

The snow can be deep, but it's usually not a problem because they push it away. But along some roads (like that one), they don't treat the surface at all; and then when it melts and re-freezes, you're driving on ice. That's when the studs are worth having. There's a world of difference between eight inches of snow and two inches of ice.
