Cadenza 19s installed today!

6035 Views 39 Replies 11 Participants Last post by  njcamocutie
Hello from Deep East Texas! I have a 2014 Soul Base with a 6sp manual gearbox. I have installed factory cruise, per instructions found here(THANKS), and also have installed Storm lowering springs and a PCR chip(minor gains if any). Also installed some cheap little window covers on the rearward triangular windows and some graphics on the sides (not pictured). Today, my techs in service, I work at a local Kia dealer, are installing my FREE set of 19 inch Cadenza wheels and I am so freaking stoked! Will update this post with pics later, but can anyone tell me if I should be worried about rubbing with my lowered suspension and a 3 inch larger wheel and tire setup? I feel like I should PROBABLY be ok, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried about destroying my fenders the first time I turn a corner! THanks for all the helpful advice so far and I look forward to learning more from y'all!!

I'm a sucker for black wheels. Those looks great! (Also the fender fitment looks spot on)
What tire size did you use?

Went with the stock Cadenza size, 245/40R19. They fit exactly like I had hoped!
That looks really nice! What part of East Texas? No rubbing at full lock or with big bumps? Wouldn't mind checking the fitment out in person sometime if I get back out there.

Just for reference, the fitment information I found is this: 19x8 +50.5 on the wheel, with 26.7" diameter on the tire and a section width of 9.8" when mounted on an 8.5" wide wheel. Notes for later. :)
I'm in Nacogdoches. No rub at full lock, haven't felt anything over bumps... Got pretty lucky!

I spent 4 years in Lufkin! :) SFA?

Thanks for the note on the no rub... that's awesome with a tire that wide! And you're how far down? Can you measure from the fender lip to the ground?
Nah, moved here to work at the HD shop, actually. Will try to get that measurement for you!

HD shop? Thanks!
Was a certified harley davidson tech for several years. Still enjoy working on motorcycles, although I prefer sportbikes...
Ohh gotcha.
Finally got into getting that measurement for you... 27 and 1/2 in in the front 27 7/8 in in the back.

Rock on, thanks so much! So you're at about a 3/4 gap in front and just over an inch in the back. Did you do any camber correction after the drop? Do you know what your front camber settings look like?
No, I need to have an alignment done, probably.
I would have been wrong, would have bet some rubbing especially at full turn maybe even bumps. I also usually like black rims and this is no exception they look great.
I was just in East Texas during the flooding, right in the heart of it Beaumont on my way to Houston. I got off I 10 at a higher ground exit and hotel, had to take 90 to houston the next day and lucky it was even open so soon. Pictures in the news were no exaggeration of how much flooding there was.

Cool. Post your before/after with pics after it's done!
Look what the mail man brought to me at work!
