Brake Pads and Rotors

Any Kia Soul Pros around who can answer some fit questions for me??

I need to replace all my brake pads and rotors on my 2011 Kia Soul+ 2.0

I'm considering the R1 Concepts CEOE 10751 Eline Series Kit(Pads+Rotors-Rear&Front) mainly because i hope they all fit perfect - but there are no reviews and i can't figure out if they will fit.

Or and this is my preferred option
Front Rotors - Dura International BR900764
Front Pads - Wagner Quick Stop ZD924
Rear Rotors - Dura International BR900770
Rear Pads - Wagner Quick Stop ZD1445

Does anyone have experience installing this pads and rotors?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome.
Most everything is made in China and I don't think anything Chinese clearly excels over another.
I bought powerstop rotors/pads for the front but they did not have them for the rear.
I recently did pads only and used raybestos service grade ceramics with good results.
I was just looking at am rotors and they carry a 10 year warranty and that should outlast the car.
I think most any of these will suit our soul as a D/D.
If you are doing track days you might want something better like EBC or Brembo but that would be way overkill i.m.o.

Thanks for the answers guys.. but since i'm buying online (Amazon) i want to make sure they fit. A few people have installed the Dura front and rear rotors on the 2010 Kia Soul .. Are there any differences between the 2010 and 2011 models that would make these not fit, or for that matter between a 1.6 and a 2.0?
Thanks.

I researched pretty heavily the R1s and wasn't convinced enough those would fit, so...

About six months ago, I did my 2010 + rotors and pads using the Dura rotors and Wagner quickstops and all fit perfectly. I can check to see specifically which Dura #s I ordered if you like, but I too got all mine from Amazon with no problems (except for occasional brake squeal - so make, sure to use copper grease/brake grease and/or brake quiet on your brake pad backing plates and "ears").

Also, if your parking brake is weak or the lever-travel is too long (as mine was), I recommend taking a few minutes to adjust your parking brake while working on your rear brakes.

Hi Greg,

How has your experience been with the pads and rotors after 6 months of use. Any complaints on quality?

I'm in Canada and i've heard that semi metallic pads are better than ceramic pads for cold weather - Any thoughts?

Thanks for all the info .. it's proving to be a big help

From what I've experienced and researched, there's no significant difference or benefit for colder climates, meaning good brakes will work regardless. I've no complaints after six months as all are wearing normally and stopping is at least as good as the OE brakes that came with the car new. Only challenge I had was getting the rotor hold-screws out without stripping.

I actually need new rotors on the rear and pads all around on my 2012 this month (inspection is due), and I'm thinking about having my local guy do them because I'm actually so busy with work that generates revenue that it would cost me more in terms of lost time to do them myself than to have him do them. I'm also thinking about getting the front rotors changed, as well.

He's a NAPA shop, however, and uses NAPA parts preferentially. He's also getting some special on them this month (15 percent off) that he's passing on to customers. I've never used NAPA brake parts. I've used a lot of other parts from NAPA and haven't been disappointed, but never brakes. Anyone have any experience with them?

Using the NAPA parts that he recommended, new rotors and pads all around would weigh in at about $300.00. That's about what it would cost me in time at my billing rate for the work I'm doing right now. It's tempting, assuming that the parts are good.
