Hi all,

I was thinking of getting the clear hood protector when my new Soul arrives and was wondering if anyone has ever applied it themselves? Here is a link to it on Amazon, claiming it is the OEM version. Just wondering how easy it really is.

Yes you can, from what I read on this forum here in post somewhere, it's pretty time consuming and you really need a helper.

I believe one of our members from Brampton, Ontario install this professionally, can't think of his logon name. Good quality 3m will not yellow or degrade, we have a small piece of that on our vehicles from the factory on the lower rear corner of the back door. I had the same on my Rondo and over four years ownership it was still in good shape, stands up very well.

Thanks a lot for the link... couldn't find something like that when I searched. Doesn't sound too fun... will have to get a quote from the dealer. At least I know I'll be able to do the mud guards myself instead of forking over "several hundred" like the dealer said. Screw that!
