I don't see a lot of pic's of aftermarket wheel on Soul's?
Its always the first this I do when I buy a new car to personalize it.
In the spring I will buy new wheels for our new 2019 Soul EV but for now I need to add snow tires (soon) and probably just use the stock wheels for those. Maybe paint them black to match the car.
I was playing around today and thought this looked pretty cool but of course it wont move or turn with these. Just needs a set of fender flares. ;>)

So back to reality, the stock wheels just did not appeal to us at all.

I pulled them off to paint black and found as many of you probably know the plastic inserts are just screwed on. Pulled them off and found these pretty good looking aluminum wheels hiding underneath.

The big wheels look kind of cool, although obviously won't work as is. :D

Kia really put those ugly plastic covers over those wheels? Why?

Its the EV so they are more aerodynamic for better range.

After a whole day of cleaning, sanding, prepping, masking and finally painting, this was the outcome.
These will make good winter tire wheels and we will see what the spring brings.

Cool!
I've only seen 1 EV (passed by me in the opposite direction) here in the U.S.A.

This is the way the EV's come stock. Did not like the red so it was Saturdays job. Still need to paint the roof but that will have to wait till Spring.

They're Kia aerodynamic wheel covers. You could pop a set on to improve your mileage!

There are actually 15 screws on each wheel holding the 5 plastic inserts on.

Nope the lug nuts don't secure the plastic. They are 5 pie shaped pieces that screw on. Basically the dark parts in the picture, the silver parts are the actual aluminum wheel.

NEXEN N BLUE EV - SIZE: 205/60R16
The N'blue EV is Nexen's eco-friendly Grand Touring All-Season tire initially developed for the 2015 Kia Soul EV. Different by design than the tires fitted to gasoline-powered Kia Soul vehicles, N'blue EV tires offer Nexen's Super Low Rolling Resistance (SLRR) to maximize vehicle range while delivering all-season dry, wet and wintertime traction, even in light snow.

N'blue EV tires feature an ultra-low rolling resistance all-season compound molded into a symmetric tread design. Shoulder blocks backed by continuous ribs to stabilize cornering and reduce noise.

Tire Rack info. Checked to see if they'd fit, for that extra mileage. One of the 2 reviews made them sound as slick as my Kumhos.
As your going non-aero on the wheels, are you considering non-EV tires?

I have not had any problem with them in the week we have owned the car but its been dry, no rain or snow. I'm trying to come up with a good snow tire, my go to on all our vehicles is the BFG KO2 all terrain but they are probably not a good choice for a car let alone an EV.
I'm looking pretty hard at these.
