I'm interested in purchasing a 2014 Kia Soul that just had the engine replaced. What should I expect from 2014 with a new engine? Did Kia fix the problem with the replacement engines or am I looking at some of the initial problems and excess oil burning return? The price is pretty decent, especially when considering there's a brand-new engine in it. However, the car has 104K miles on it, so I assume other items will need attention sooner than later.

Thanks

It’s a new engine so maintain it and change the oil on time and it will probably never burn oil. You’re going to find oil burning GDI engines from every manufacturer these days if you slack on changing (and checking) the oil on time. It’s probably why it was replaced in the first place. Still have it checked out. Everything else has over 100k on it so you want to know how the brakes, suspension, transmission, etc are doing.
