2025 S Model, the digital tachometer is insanely terrible

I haven't bought a new Soul since my 2018 Exclaim and last week bought a 2025 S. Kia has made the tachometer fully digital and the same size as the Speedometer, so my dashboard is blinking and changing every second I'm in the car like a computer on the Enterprise NCC-1701. I feel like I'm having mini strokes with all of the meters constantly going up and down, 1.6 rpm, 1.9 rpm, 42 mph, 2.6...2.4...2.3... 33 mph, 1.6, 1.3, 1.2... It makes me insane and is the biggest disappointment of this new generation of Soul. I effing HATE the digital tachometer. So awful. I'm about to put a sticky note on top of the tachometer so I no longer have to see it.

I'm also glad I can turn off the ISG but do forget to do it every time I get in. I sold my first Soul Exclaim when I bought this new one. It was a 2012 and I loved that car so much. It had the best wheel rims of any year. But with 175,000 miles, it served me well and then my daughter after that. She now has the 2018 and it's been a terrific car, too.

Do other cars have this now? I admit to only driving Kia Souls since 2011 and I've not paid attention when I'm in other people's cars.

Yeah some other Hyundai and Kias are using that instrument cluster too. I saw it in the Venue. What was wrong with the 2020-2022 one? It was normal and perfect but the one on my 2011 is fine too.

Can you at least change the purple color to something else?

Unsure what you mean by the instrument cluster display.
Maybe post a short video of that it is doing.

Our 2025 Soul LX display is as shown in the picture below.
The speed stays steady and the tachometer is fairly steady and not changing rapidly . .. varying only a bit when going up or down slight grades.

One thing you could do is place the transmission in manual mode. The Tachometer RPM varies less in that mode. However, then you would have to use a different driving style and pay attention to shifting.

For the ISG - - -- You can cut a piece off an expired plastic gift card and insert in into the bottom of the ISG switch.

I cut a piece about 3/4" wide and a little over 1 " long . . . then curved the outer edge downward with pliers. I painted it or covered it with some matte black vinyl wrap I had.

Push the ISG Switch in while also inserting the gift card piece at the bottom.
Or . .. you can buy a device cable for about $100 and add it into the switch circuit.
