Will definitely do my research, thanks! going by the part number from Billaz on fourgreen its a 50 dollar wheel there, but 150-200 everywhere else. and there very well could be a reason for that.

should look real nice with the black car. By D-cut do you mean the plastic fork at the bottom of the wheel? If so, it is. I will be sure to show my work as soon as soon as its done!

Edit/Update: Ordered Redzone Wheel (56120B2100FE4) from fourgreen.com total was $89.36 shipped (took the bullet. we will see how it goes. still less than half of other vendors)
Ordered switch control (96700B2100ASB) from an cherryhilskiaparts on ebay for $23 + shipping
Ordered Wire harness (56190B2400) from same vendor for 47.18 and free shipping!

Total was 170.36. Not really what I wanted to spend all my money on, but also not what I didnt want to spend my money on. I will keep yall posted as it progresses and of course the before/after. Thanks all for the help and ideas!

WOW! I got the standard 56120B2100FE4 round one, but seeing that kinda makes me wish I saw that first. Thats super sporty and would probably make getting in and out a bit easier. (Big guy problems)

Working fine for me. I ordered mine from kiapartsnow.com/kiapartsfast.com based on lowest price. There are also "kits" on ebay with all the components. Do NOT go to FourGreen, I had a terrible experience there. In the end, order from whomever you want/like.

It makes my trips down the expressway MUCH easier!

Worst case I return it or flag as a fraudulent charge with bank and order from kiaparts. but to save 80 bucks? lets roll the dice! As a side note, I noticed several are saying to replace the lock nut on the steering column. Is this an absolute must (Im sure due to safety and all that sure maybe) In my experiences so long as youre not abusing a nylock, they can be reused. Its a cheap part, sure, but 15 dollars to ship a 70 cent part? Im running out of kidneys to sell!

I got my CC parts from Kiapartsfast.com - as they were the best price for all parts at the time. Shipping was very cheap to FL.

PS - I am curious if you get your parts from FourGreen - what I ordered was half of other sites, but they didn't actually have it in stock and never updated me for over three weeks. Only a Paypal Inquiry prompted them to finally reimburse me for non-shipped parts.

Just an update. They canceled the order. Still waiting for the charge to drop off. Ill give them the benefit of the doubt due to prompt customer service, but cant say Im too surprised. Guess Ill give it another try in a few months or just go with kiaparts when I do my center console/armrest. Anyone get the part number for the d-cut redzone wheel? Still drooling over that so not too heartbroken over loss of the round one.

Will update this when I get the CC shipment in this weekend. Hoping to do it before I take it for an oil change on Monday to see if they say anything.

Wheel wheel wheel what do we have here?

So ebay shipped the harness and control fast enough to make Jeff Bezos spin and Battery to Battery was the usual 45-60 minutes. I was excited and neglected to pull on the orange tabs on the airbag clips and subsequently broke one of the small blue tabs that hold it down. Big issue? probably not but c'est la vie.

In my defense it was like Tatooine in my garage and my patience is not the best.

Fast forward all plugged in. Harness was a little stiff to manipulate but all went back well. Center on the wheel was marked and has a notch on it so its pretty easy to line up already. Horn seems a bit tougher to press but I actually like that. Im less tempted to honk when someone cuts me off. Only hitch was i left the sticker/barcode from the inside of the wheel hanging out on the shroud and didnt notice till it was all back together so I just ripped it off, and I didnt have a big enough ratchet for the nylock so had to improvise with vice grips, a nut driver and a spark plug socket. On plus side my radio didnt reset. Everything was just as I left it which was a nice touch.

Side note, with car off if you turn the wheel back and forth, do you all feel a slight bump when the (I am assuming) clock spring hits the wheel and starts turning with it? No resistance, just like theres a little play in the wheel that it turns a bit before whatever is behind it catches up.

Altogether, easy peasy, didnt even finish my G&T, squeazy. For anyone else attempting, pull up the orange tabs and make note of which wires go where. Someone on page 2 made note of it and it saved me from bad words and 15 minutes of redoing the harness.

Don't feel bad, those orange tabs have tripped up others. I didn't get that single white wire clip fully connected (seated) to the airbag and had a dash light. Took the wheel back off and reseated that clip, no problems after that.

My advice to anyone doing this is to "take your time." Double check all connections (triple check).

To be honest, I didn't have any "slight bump" when turning the wheel. Did you actually remove the clockspring or leave it alone?

I'm just wondering out loud about the difference in the horn feel, which is really the airbag, if maybe a wire or clip isn't fully seated?? Maybe something is touching.

If it doesn't bother you, I'd leave it alone. Just keep any eye on it for awhile.

Gracias! It is wonderful indeed. I missed working on my own car. All my previous ones I was always tinkering with (making things worse before finally fixing something trivial). Did not touch the clockspring, although it really just sits in there and can be easily turned. I know from previous work I have done to not touch the thing less you want to fork over mucho monies for a new one. All wires are tucked under the black clip, but I did notice the new harness is a good bit thicker than original. I will investigate again but for now my next Orlando trip will be one to thoroughly enjoy

Manual Transmission - What We Don't Get in North America

Like everyone else in this thread, I've added cruise control to my stick shift Soul. Even did the factory center console.

BUT.....when I see videos like this one, from a guy who bought his manual transmission Soul (2017) in Germany, look at how well equipped it comes.

Basically a PLUS trim. Dang!

Even though I don't understand a word he's saying, check out this factory equipped Soul. Then ask why we can't have this in North America. The steering wheel is even on the correct side of the car. Bring it on over.

Come on KIA, stick shift buyers want goodies too. Our money is just as good as those who drive automatics.....I promise.

Take a risk and let us have some more in our stick shift Souls, we're starving for options

Now I am just an oddball, but I rather like the spartan base model. I would have honestly not minded having manual door locks and windows. Less tech, less to go wrong. Plus a whole lot of weight saved. (although id kick a puppy for the wheels on his soul)

Cruise Control is just one of those things that should be a standard by now. My buddy in high school had a '76 912 and it had cruise control back then. I dont understand why its not just a given.

That's my point, cruise control does come in the BASE automatic model. But in the Stick Shift base they actually go so far as to mask it off (even though it IS built into the engine).

Somehow in N America the term stick shift is a license to gut features, whereas in the rest of the world it's the opposite.

Props to Genesis for the G70 stick! It would be awesome if they carry that over when the Genesis SUV debuts.

I'm a new owner of a 14 MT soul. Was really excited to try and add the cruise. Ordered the parts #'s listed at the beginning of this thread. My mistake was that I included my vin #. They substituted the "correct" parts for my vin. Which are the exact parts I already have. When I called, the parts guy told me what I want to do won't work. I need an after market system. I've returned the parts and will try to reorder elsewhere without giving my vin. I'll update if I have any luck.

That sucks jeff. You're absolutely right, never give them your vin. When I bought the center console & armrest they insisted on my vin, so I grabbed one from a Soul+ and then they sent the right parts. I've noticed alot of suppliers have backed off the vin-demand crap.

By all means do not put a 3rd party system in your Soul. It already has cruise control installed, it's just masked off due to corporate marketing lunacy

If I'd had more time to investigate options, I would have bought a base manual and added the fog lights and cruise myself. But being stuck in a $500 a week rental after getting rammed head on forced me to jump to something that should have been close enough. Kind of disappointed now, saving the money and putting it into a decent stereo, plus adding cruise and fog lights would have been enough to make me happy in a base model.

Though the extra power from the 2 liter motor will come in handy if I can get in a full season of motorcycle racing next year.

Good news (mostly) I received my correct parts. Don't give your vin# when you order. Switched them out and it works perfectly! Really happy. The bad part...while doing the change over the new button was on the floor and my sweet old basset hound chewed up the new one. It works fine but is all scratched up. For $20 will probably replace. Thanks to the forum I got cc for less than $75.
