2012 was a new 2.0 engine nothing like the earlier years. I don't know about the 1.6. I think that the 2.0 is still used today although the computer compatibility might be an issue Trans is different as well for the 2.0 6 speed vs. older 4 speed.
as mentioned above the 2.0L engine was a new series in 2012 and called the Nu series, this same series continued right through to the end of the 2019 model year, however in 2014 it was tweaked and became a GDI version, prior to that is was a MPI version.
the 2010-2011 2.0L engine was a Beta II series, totally different engine.

2011 Soul+ has lots of scratches on the rear bumper cover. Looks like they drug chain link fence in and out of the back of the car. This appears to be a perfect solution to cover the scratches and missing paint. Unfortunately, it appears to be out of stock and unavailable.
