Is there resonator after the lower intake box, behind the fender wheel well?

I'm also looking for lower intake box when the air filter sits if you guys are selling one. I'll take it. Please let me know.

I would like to open up the lower part of the intake box. If there is a resonator, I want to eliminate that. I have K&N filter now. I have been doing this on all of my cars except for my current ‘16 Forester XT. I just want to get a better MPG with the Soul + and so far the filter and 36 psi tires help bumped my MPG from 29 to 32.

It does have a resonator, in the piping inside the fender. I removed mine and covered the resonator connector opening. I use a aem drop box filter. It sounds a bit more aggressive but not at all as loud as a intake kit. I saw no change in MPG
