  1. Soul Accessories (Gen 2)
Hey guys, whats the formal name and part # for the clear plastic film that comes OEM on the rear doors by the wheel? Having trouble finding replacement parts because I do not know the formal name to search it. This is for a 2017 if it matters, thank you.
  2. Soul Tire & Wheel (Gen 2)
My 2016 Soul has these style wheels, 205 60R-16. The wheel is aluminum and the black is a robust plastic. Anyone know what is under the plastic? Is the metal polished or just rough like the backside.
  3. Soul General Discussion (Gen 2)
Today, after just a few days of owning my Soul, I noticed a brand new deep scratch (or gouge?) on the right side of the rear plastic bumper. The bumper is unpainted textured plastic. The damage wasn't there yesterday, so something must've happened either overnight, or when I parked at a...
  4. How To / DIY (Gen 2)
I just drove a brand new Soul+ home....20 miles on the odometer..I'm an oil change freak, so I looked under the car and see that plastic panel. It has an access for the oil filter, and an access for the drain plug. The drain plug access is missing....I think....it's just an open space. I...

Thought I would share my first foray into plasti dipping
  6. Soul Problems (Gen 2)
Will someone share replacement numbers for the plastic retainers that hold the motor underside "belly pan" on with the bolts? I changed my 1st oil last night and these do not come off easily! The access holes for filter and drain plug are not very well engineered. I looked on Ebay, but nothing...
  7. Soul General Discussion (Gen 2)
Hi Folks: I found a small plastic cap on the passenger side of the rear bumper. I pulled it open and it looks like a metal "pipe" attached to the "frame". I imagine this is for wiring, maybe a rear camera mount? Anyone know what this is? Thanks
  8. How To / DIY (Gen 2)
Hello! Can someone tell me how to remove the plastic cover under the steering wheel for a 2014 Soul? I know there are two screws on the bottom and a little slit on the door side, but I am not sure how to get it off and would like to leave as little damage as possible :) Thanks!
  9. Soul General Discussion (Gen 2)
Right smack in the middle of my dashboard, in front of the "ghost speaker" circle thingy, there is a small clearish plastic half-circle embedded into my dashboard. It's very close to the glass. Is that a wiper sensor for cars with that feature? Or an alarm hub for cars that come with one?
  10. Aftermarket modifications (Gen 1)
I just got custom colored paint to match my 2013 Soul +, and wanted to paint the stupid black trim in front of the doors. (not my photo). Has anyone ever taken them off before? Would it be easier to just cover around it and paint it? Thanks.
  11. Soul Problems (Gen 1)
I am not sure what the part is identified as, but I am addressing the black plastic cover plate that goes just beneath the windshield wipers outside of the windshield and just above the rear edge of the hood. I started to use my wife's Kia Soul yesterday and noticed that there is a large chunk...
  12. Soul General Discussion (Gen 1)
If you look at your Soul, you'll see a small square of clear plastic at the base of the rear doors on the Soul. Does anyone know what this is for, and what's underneath it? It looks like that 3M plastic protector film you put on the front of vehicles.
  13. Soul General Discussion (Gen 1)
Anyone ever removed the exterior plastic door guard? (pic added) Someone dinged mine up pretty good, and in my efforts to clean it I only made it worse. It appears that the plastic trim piece slides back and forth a bit, which would indicate to me it's not glued to the outside of the door...
  14. Soul General Discussion (Gen 1)
My silver 2011 Soul has a scratched plastic bumper. Actually, it's the top that's under the rear hatch. I was loading a bicycle and wasn't careful enough. Question; can the scratches be gently sanded out or will it just leave a big discolored patch looking worse than the scratches themselves...
  15. Aftermarket modifications (Gen 1)
Just to keep my soul unique, I'm trying something different over my plastic engine cover. This sheet of black etched Titanium will be placed over the entire rear section of the engine cover. The car picture etched on the bottom is an abstract drawling of my car with the Soul Logo on top...

Notice the plastic liner in the rear wheel arches do not extend all the way around - do you think this will cause corrosion in the longer term especially with the salt they lay on the roads in winter ?

I remember someone mentioned they knew a place that did this at one of the meets I can't remember if it was Homer or not. Any help would be appreciated.

I used Back to Black on the side protectors, front and rear bumpers. A few coats rubbed into the surface and polished with clean terry cloth makes them look new. I cleaned it up after running through a good bit of rain. Gave it another coat of wax before weather changes.
  19. How To / DIY (Gen 1)
I'm probably ordering a big bulk of Stinger Roadkill, or something similar, haven't pressed the Place Order button yet. I've never used sound deadening material before but I have installed speakers in all my cars. I noticed inside the doors of the Soul, just as with my Civic and probably every...

Does anyone think that the interior scratches easy? I have a 2 inch scratch on my door handle on the inside and I know it probably can't be removed but what can I do to minimize the appearance?
