I think you'll be ok with the uvo radio, without dealer intervention, if you can find it. If you see one without uvo, grab it. Uvo app practically offers 0 functions. Either way it is a simple plug and play, unless you want to add a factory camera. Then it will get costly and you are better off going aftermarket.

Hi - I saw on a few threads that you apparently replaced your radio in your kia soul with the upgraded model with a screen (but not the way upgraded model with the nav). We are looking to do the same thing - we bought a 2014 Soul that has just the basic radio with the red led type display. We want to get the 2nd level radio that has support for the backup camera. I am confused by the way that some of them have a button that says Disp and some have a button that says eServices -- I think the eServices ones are UVO, maybe, and might require an amp??? At any rate, I would be curious to know what you upgraded from and to and whether it was a simple plug-and-play switch or whether an amp or extensive rewiring was involved. (If you have photos or model numbers, that would be amazing!) Also, did a dealer need to provide you an unlock code or reprogram it for your VIN? I would appreciate any info you have as we have been combing the forums for a few days now and can't seem to find a straight up answer. Don't want to spend the money for one on ebay then find out it doesn't work. Thanks so much!!!!
