    Bluetooth connection issues

    Hey all,

Recently picked up a 2020 Soul EX, with the upgraded UVO system. I'm having an issue with my cars system not remembering my phone after I pair it. It pairs initially without an issue, but after I turn the car off and leave it for any amount of time it is not saved in the Bluetooth menu when I start the car back up, and I have to re-pair the phone everytime.

I have a new S10 so I'm confident the issue isn't with my phone. On top of that, I've tried it with a variety of friends and family's phones and am running into the second issue.

Tried a full reset of the Bluetooth system in both the car and my phone to no result.

    Any thoughts?

Look for a automatically connect setting in the car's menus and ensure which of your phone, even if there is only one connected, is designated primary.

Welcome Kam & congrats on your 2020 Soul.

It's great to see Gen 3 stuff popping up on the forum.

Since your Gen 3 is so new, there might not be alot of feedback yet, but you can always scroll to the bottom of the page to the box entitled "Similar Threads" to see previous chatter on bluetooth issues.

    All the best.

Thanks for the tip, shaggy! I went through the Bluetooth/connectivity settings pretty thoroughly and couldn't find something like that, even directly after pairing the phone (the manual also states that a prompt like this should pop up). I'm going to give it a few more tries and do some more investigating in the UVO-specific manual. Then I might give UVO services a call after if I hit a dead end. Will keep you all updated!

Thanks GeoSoul! I'm excited to see some more discussion around it!

I figured that might be the case haha. My Android auto works great, so can always use that in the meantime until more info comes to light. I'll definitely check out the "similar threads" prompt.

I read through the regular manual for Bluetooth and couldn't find anything. UVO manual is my next step! Thank you for the guidance.
