Shhhh!! That's where I keep my emergency supply of diamonds. Don't tell anyone, OK? Our little secret!

There should be a cap & gown ceremony once you get to the end of that manual!
You'd probably have more useful knowledge than a modern college grad does, after you've done your due diligence with a full, testable read of the Owner's Manual.

Well...I don't know about you but I was just going to stand there waiting for them to open on there own by telekinesis.

Looks like just another failed Kia commercial to me...
Unfortunately a lot of people who get behind the wheel aren't terribly smart.

I'd keep trying that telekinesis stuff. I bent a spoon once doing that.

Kia built an escape hatch into the floor similar to the one on the Fury tank.
LOL. You're sure full of spunk tonight, all full of New Caah Fever I guess!

Not sure, but I'd call OnStar just in case.

Thanks for all the great responses, and even the not so great ones. But, the last time someone told me the answer to my question was on page such & such, I went there and found a glaring typo (error), and I had to call my KIA dealership to get the right answer.

With OM in hand, and my doors locked, I'll have to attack my car and see if I can get in.

Years ago, I got into my locked car by using the Wiper arm as a Slim Jim.

    I tried it as well.
Bent something else though...painful as hell!
Took days and a box of Epsom salt to straighten it out!

Years ago I worked for a manufacturer/distributor of mopeds, back during the gas crunch of the late 70's early 80's.
The owners manuals needed a translator to make sense of the Taiwanese to English conversion.
We got many a laugh as we picked it apart for revisions.

And if you're renting one and it won't unlock?

Even IF the rental company left the manual in the car, it's in the car and you are not.
Good luck finding the hidden keyhole.

Back in the day, all us 'Techs' wore a pocket protector, with a small screwdriver in it.
To get into the car of today, you still need that small screwdriver. WTH?

So I come out of the movie theater and my car's remote won't work. I don't have a screwdriver or the dang'd OM so what do I do? Well I put in a cell phone call to AAA for a locksmith to come and unlock my car. OH ****! My cell phone in inside my car! So I go next door to Hooters and see if I can use their phone to call AAA.

It just gets crazier from there. So why on earth can't they just put a key lock in the door handle like on my 2013?

    Call that progress? Yeah, Right!

My 2014 has the smartkey. It has an uncovered lock on the drivers side. I have used the hard key only once so far. I wish the ugly key hole was covered to match the others.

...if that's the case then what difference would it make if it had a regular visual key lock

...yeh like a hidden door handle keyhole would be mounted somewhere on the roof
