    Cabin Air Filter 2016 Soul

I don't know if this is a duplicate thread but I didn't have much luck finding one. So...

This video answered my questions for changing the cabin air filter in my car and thought I'd share. 'cuse that's the kind of guy I am.

I am not affiliated with this company. I just thought it was a good instructional video. I hope this helps anyone who's interested.

I had real trouble removing the clips and ended up breaking one as the info in the manual wasn't too clear as to how to release it and they are pretty flimsy, particular if you push in the wrong direction.

I picked my replacement up from my dealer, here is the box

I ordered the charcoal air filter off ebay. It helps filter out those annoying diesel fumes from buses & VWs

    Did the same exact thing!

Then I did the Yosemite Sam stomp a curse around the garage bit.

    I bought these:

    https://www.amazon.com/F1AUTO-FC9713...bin+air+filter

    https://www.amazon.com/CA11206-Extra...ype=automotive

They are Fram brand. They seem OK.

Changing the engine filter was simple. I'd been there before.
Changing the cabin filter was OK but a little more trouble than I would have expected. Getting the door off the heater/air unit is a bit clumsy, and the filter fit in a bit tight. But it's all together now and working fine. Good for another year?

I'm assuming the '14 through '17 are pretty much the same?

They are. Gen 2s use the same cabin size filter.

What "door" were you talking about getting off for the heater/air?

Congrats on your new fresh filters!

I'm a little late. The outside cover, is the door. First, do no harm?
It was slightly easier on my Sedona.
Not that it was that hard on the Soul. I just didn't want to break anything.
