    Aftermarket blind sport warning system

Hi, folks. Has anyone had any experience with installing an aftermarket blind spot warning system on a 2nd-gen Soul? Mine is a 2015 with navigation. Thanks!

I just adjust my exterior mirrors correctly and the blind-spot problem is solved. No extra cost and does the job.

I've installed this "system" and it has been working fine so far.

Ha-ha. Good system, I have been using one like it for years. The first set I had fell off the car on the highway the day after but the ones I have now have been there for years.

I put a set of those little things on mine and soon after tossed them in the trash. Did't work for me. What I would like to see is the rear camera come on when a turn signal is activated. As wide a view as that camera is, it would be very useful to me.

A review detector (in the blind spot) and a indicator system are available. They hang from the rear view mirrors and light little lights you put on the mirror survice. I determined that they would be too hard to notice. I agree that a wide angle camera and monitor would be best.

I have installed 4 inch convex mirrors on drivers and passenger sides for years now. Can't live without them. I travel somewhat, and driving rentals drive me crazy without them. But I will say this.....no worry about the system breaking down with these mirrors. You can see everything. Once you get used to them, it is hard to use regular mirrors. Just a thought.

    Cheers

    Here's a novel concept.
Turn your head on your neck. It should swivel pretty well.

This helped a lot. I think it was turning them out a little, and then getting used to it.

I have a spot mirror on the drivers side. Low tech and works well.

My neck does not swivel very well. I think I have about 50% movement, although I might be a little optimistic on that.

Same with mine and a lot of people who have neck problems....some from injuries, some from age, some genetic. We've had backup camera's for ages, and some cars have a camera built in the rear view mirror. AFAIC, all cars should have those.
