I was talking to a friend the other day about looking into some new rims and he told me I should just sandpaper down the stock rims until they are bare and then get some spray paint. Is this possible or is it going to look like total crap? I like the shape of the stock rims, I just don't like the silver color.

see about having them professionally powder coated in a colour of your choice. Wheels lead a pretty hard life. The tougher the finish - the longer they will last and look good.

That's true. Any idea on what that would cost though? I would rather have a custom paint job if it's only a bit more.

I cant really advise you accurately from the costs in this country. It costs approx £50-£70 per wheel to refurbish them here, i am assuming this would be a similar amount of work to do, and assume you would be offered a choice of finish.

Hmm, that doesn't sound too bad. I'll have to look into it more. Thanks for the info!

I painted mine semi gloss black and doesn't look bad at all, for me looks better than it was stock. I will post a pix when i get a chance.
