Thread: iPhone 4S with Google Maps and non-UVO stereo

I have been searching the threads for quite awhile now and haven't found an answer. I'm sure it's there and just eluding me!! So, at the risk of repeating a question that has probably been answered multiple times..... has anyone been able to use Google Maps via the onboard stereo (non-UVO)? I have my iPhone 4S paired via BT, of course. I can't hear any of the turn-by-turn directions spoken by the lovely and very talented Siri.

Any step-by-step directions would be greatly appreciated for this old fart brain. I have a Tom Tom PND, but would prefer to use the iPhone if at all possible.

Again, I really DID look through hundreds of posts using various search terms to try and find the answer!

Did you check your phone's bluetooth connection to ensure that both Phone Audio and Media Audio are being sent via bluetooth? Sometimes it bugs out and only Phone audio is synced.

Did you set your stereo to bluetooth audio after connecting your phone? Aside from phone calls, you can't hear audio coming from your phone unless you set your stereo to bluetooth after pairing.

I use Google maps with my iphone 4, i get turn by turn directions over the car speakers, but I can only see the maps and direction on my Iphone, I am wondering is it possible to see the maps and directions on the UVO Screen ? I would appreciate if someone could answer.
