Thread: New UVO Update as of Sep 13, 2012, v1.MP.9.010

Just downloaded and installed the latest UVO update to my Soul. No problems or complaints so far. Of course, I haven't really had any issues with UVO and my phone, USB drive, etc., but if you have, you might want to update and see if it makes a difference.

Just go to www.kia.com, Owners section, login (or create your login), and then click UVO Download on the top left to download the installer file for Windows or Mac. You'll need a 1GB flash drive for the update process.

Thanks for the heads up. I will pull it down and update mine at lunch. Only issue I've had is that sometimes it takes a while to sync up HD Radio stations (not sure if that's UVO or the station), and one time in about 20 it won't pair up with my iPhone 4S via Bluetooth.

I went out and installed it at lunch. Maybe it's just my imagination but it seems that the fonts are a little larger now for the artist/title and channel information?

i noticed that too the time looks bigger. I haven't noticed any other changes

Does it remember the playlist after you shut off the car and restart it later?

Can you be more specific? I usually just play an album or something occasionally from the iPod, other than that I'm normally on Sirius or an HD channel.

Updating mine right now. That thing is a pain. Why not just give us a zip file instead of that weird .exe file?
Anyway, its updating now. Will see if it seems different.

Ok. Done. Seems exactly the same except the clock in the upper right is bigger. The tag text may be bigger as some of you have mentioned, but not WAY bigger. Oh well. At least its up to date. I would like an option for UVO to default back to a full screen clock, but it is what it is. Still a very cool system.

You're right, it's not very intuitive. You would think that you'd click the UVO entry in the middle, but instead, there's a separate link on the top left for the UVO download that's only there after you login.

Also for people that are going to update, you have to download their file, then click run. It will instruct you from there. It will ask you to choose ur USB drive, and then it will unzip everything and put it on ur drive for ya.
