    Question Phone Mount

I have a T-Mobile Mytouch 3g. I was wondering if someone also has this phone and is using a mount with it? I would like to start using the Google Maps Navigation.

I tried one of those generic mounts that suctioncup to the window and sort of clamp the phone. It bounced around too much and I eventually used a rubber band to strap the phone to the rearview mirror. This kept it out of my field of view and didn't obscur too much of the view to the rear. Worked like a charm and I could have saved $10 if I'd been more inventive to start with.

If you can't complain, you aren't trying hard enough.

wash those suction cup marks off your window. thieves look for those first when they want to steal items out of a car. they know you either have a radar detector or GPS stored away in the glove box.

Yeah, that and they look like crap all over the glass too. I don't keep anything in the car but the manual and the key for the wheel locks. Had a stretch a few years back where some kid just liked my car and would hang out in it at night - and clean out the loose change and once, the stereo. He eventually celebrated his 18th b-day with a highspeed chase down I-75 and spent some time in jail.

Hmmmm......I need to install something that will PAGE me when a MAN is hanging out in my Soul. I'd have to make sure it locks the doors and DOESN'T scare him off before I get there < EVIL laugh >

Thanks for the info fellas and funny stories. What do you think of these? They look a little expensive and need to pieces.

Can't see the product's because I don't like the pop up that asks where it's getting shipped to. It's presumptuous of them to assume I am actually going to order. Thus they will never get any of my money.

Well, they now think I'm in Argentina.

Looks like a nice neat solution. I like that they will fit a specific make/model on both parts. This makes it a much nicer look than a generic mount.

When you get a new phone will you still be able to use this product? Will they have changed the mounting method, or will they still be in business? Depends on how long you tend to keep a phone. I keep them until the provider's network is no longer compatible with the device and I can't use it anymore, or the thing up and dies, but I 'm a cheap bastard, too.

I usally get a new phone every year or so. But i think i will be keeping this one for a while. I may be buying the two parts. From my understanding all you need to replace is the phone mount when you change out the phone.

The ProClip stuff is incredible quality. I have had them for previous cars, and have the Soul ones on my Christmas list this year. ;-)
