    Tire size questions.

    Hi Soul lovers,

My questions have to do with the standard tires on the Soul. From what I've read they're 16 inches. For those of you who've already bought Souls, are there any rim options for the 16 inch tires. I see the 18 inch tires have more rim options. And that quite frankly, look much cooler.

For those of you who have the 18 inch tires. How many miles are they rated for? What does a replacement tire cost?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Some of us on here have noticed that the Soul 18" tires come in what seams to be 2 flavors. Hankook and Nexen. However the Nexens don't seem to exist on their own here in The States. I would assume that both tires would have the same or at least very similar specs.

Here are the specs on the Hankook models:

Does anyone know if winter tires sized 235/60/18 will fit on the stock 18" rims?

235's will not fit on the stock rims since they are only 7" wide. 235 width tires require a minimum width 7".

I had this problem when I wanted wider tires on the 18's I have on my Forester

    Also for information purposes

Max width for a SOUL rim is 8 inches.

Can go up to 20 inch rim, if you can find one only 8 inches wide.

    Tire would be 225/35/20

    Cheers,

Are you saying that if you went higher than a 18x8 say like a 18x9 (which I was hoping to do) it would rub? Couldn't that be solved by fender rolling though?

So correct me if I am wrong.

Would a 18x9 with an offset of +45 be to big and require fender rolling but an 18x8 with an offset of +42 or +38 would not require fender rolling?

I can tell you I am not 100% sure, although for warranty purposes it is suggested that anything larger than 8 would void the warranty. I have yet to find 19 or 20's with an 8" width.

    Cheers,
