Anyone know how much someone like Discount Tire will charge to put winter tires on my Soul's wheels?

I have some Blizzak 225/55 r17's that I think will fit on my Plus' wheels, no? I'll call them but they are not open yet. Just wondering if anyone knows. Thanks!

What? Are they keeping Banker's Hours?

Call your local Goodyear dealer. That's what I'd do.

Oh wait!!!! I don't need snow tires. I'm in Florida!

Good Luck! And, Happy Thanksgiving

Yeah, I was browsing eBay the other day for them but I had to look up the bolt pattern etc and never got around to it. I was hoping to find some wheels that I like better than the stock and then use the stock for the winter tires, but I think I'll be spending more money than I wanted to then.

I never did call Discount Tire about their prices... derp. I should get moving, but winter has barely shown itself yet so I have been procrastinating

Walmart around here is closer to $15-$20 if you want them both mounted and balanced, and you want balanced.
That’s why I bought used rims for the snows. A couple winters of changing and you have paid for used rims. Plus I can’t stand sitting in a tire shop for half a day when they are busy waiting on tires. With spare rims you drop them off and say Cya tomorrow.

I found 6 people selling rims on Craigslist just in this little town and two more at work. None of them knew they would fit a Kia Soul. I ended up buying 2 sets actually 4 steel rims from a Monte Carlo I put studded snows on for the Soul and then I found a guy at work that had 4 Ford Escape rims with brand new snows on them that will fit the Soul and also will fit my girlfriends Honda Element so they went on her Element for at least this winter.

I’m assuming your 2014 + has the 17 inch wheels. Mine has the 18’s but the rims and tires I used were 16’s for winter. Very common size and cheaper for tires. I went with 225-60-16 as they are very close to the 18’s overall and didn’t change the speedometer readings.

Not sure about where you are but around here winter starts all at once when it comes. :fat:

I have 225/55 R17 winter tires, so what do I have to look for when shopping for new wheels? Just the bolt pattern? Anyone know what that is?

What if I wanted to replace the stock wheels? Just get a wheel for the stock tire sizes and the bolt pattern above?

If you look right above in the Stickied threads the info is there. You may find this post I did back in August of use too:

Thanks... lots of useful info there. I think I am going to just mount my winter 225/55 R17s on the Soul's wheels this year and look at new wheels next year when I will probably need new winter tires. Looks like I want to drop from 17" to 15-16" for better affordability.

Sounds like a good plan if you've got part-worn tires sitting there that will fit.

15" Michelins on steel rims works for me! $300 second-hand off Craigslist. This is their 4th Winter, but I will need new ones for the next. Pretty good VFM :fat:
