Question Newbie could use some help choosing new wheels

    Hello All!

I am very new to the forum so I hope this is the appropriate place for this!

I was hoping you could help me identify (or at least point me in the right direction of) a new set of wheels. I have a 2011 Kia Soul + in silver. I purchased the car used about a year ago, and everything about it is fantastic, however whoever had the car before me installed some terrible aftermarket wheels (See picture). They are an unknown brand of 17 inch chrome wheels which have caused me nothing but trouble. Its a combination of bad quality and poor installation resulting in broken air pressure sensors, rim leaks and poor performance etc. I have finally had enough and I am ready to replace them all together. I have thought of a few important qualities which may help you all to point me in the appropriate direction of brand, construction, alloy or chrome etc...

    - Utilitarian: I am not very much into tricked out cars, so these wheels dont have to be flashy by any means. I do alot of camping, backpacking etc. so I am far more interested in something that has quality (and can put up with a beating) over looks.
    - Size: If I can I would be interested in keeping the current tires that I have, so 17 inches may be ideal. However, if it seems like it would be better to switch size, I would be happy to do so.
    - Distance/weather: I currently live in Long Beach, CA, but in about a month my fiance and I are moving back home to Minneapolis Minnesota. Therefore, I will need something that will do well on the long road trip (2500 miles) and additionally deal well with the snow in Minnesota.

Thank you all very much ahead of time for any information/ help you can provide!!! I hope that I provided enough information/ put this in the right place, but please let me know if I can clarify or add anything.

    Molten 2012 Soul !
Welcome! Those are some really crude looking wheels, alright. Don't blame you a bit for wanting to be rid of them. Looks like whoever owned the car before you had their taste where they sit, Funny thing is, however, that once you get them off, you can resell them, 'cause somebody will think they're cool (probably a Cube owner).

Man, the stock 2011+ wheels look way better than those. The Discount Tire Interactive really does work well. Give it a try.....
