technical term..... you young lads wont understand it....you need to get with the lingo.....lol
From the looks of it, I would say that you would be able to swap the center stack from one to the other.
However, I doubt that the wiring behind it will match. This UVO system is a Microsoft powered system, and does a lot more than the standard system in the current Soul.
Just for a reference, the MyFord Touch system in the Ford's has between 36 - 38 different connections between the touchscreen and the car. Albeit, that screen does 10x more than the UVO does.
I'm a noob at the kia soul so... i know that the 2011 soul is not zune compatible, it is my assumption that with the UVO system, zunes will be compatible... if this is incorrect please let me know, also, when is the UVo due to be released... i agree with jimmy that it appears to be the same general dimensions as well as tempest pointing out the possibility for a wiring difficulty, this does not quell my anticipation for the release, if i can just but the UVO separate and install it myself i will be elated... if i can not then i will not purchase, and i'm positive i am in a TMI state at the moment
the speaker surround is a different shape, the border round the whole console is thicker and the elements within it are different.... the only chance is of the complete centre console getting swapped.
the speaker surround is now one peice instead of two, the moulding point join to the rest of the surround border is in a different place, the spectacle box is a different shape, the controls within the console are different and moved about.......yeah - must be the angle of the pics.... my mistake....lol
