    Outside temperature sensor location

Does anyone know where the sensor is located to register the outside temperature in the radio readout area? For some reason today, my temperature seems to be stuck on one temperature and is not changing. I live in Texas, and if we have anything it's hot weather that just gets hotter, so I know it has not been 84 degrees from 9:00am to 1:00 pm.

My husband washed my Soul this morning and we thought maybe the sensor got wet.

The sensor is located on the front drivers side behind the bumper skin. It is really hard to get it wet.

I think you're wrong as the same thing happened to me today. The outside temp on my soul is stuck on 17 degrees Celcius. I noticed it right after getting it washed at my local car wash...
Going to the dealership/service tomorrow to check it out.

I don't think these things are terribly accurate. We will go out with 5 or 6 Souls and may find that only 2 or 3 agree on the temperature when we are all travelling the same road.

Mine is consistantly about 2 or 3 degrees Celcius lower than everyone elses. I just like to think that my Molten Soul is just a little cooler than everyone elses.

They definitely can get wet and when they do they will read low until the water dries. Perfectly normal. Have the same issue with my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. Usually takes a few hours for it to start reading right again.

They are indeed behind the bumper skin in an area that get a lot of airflow, but the problem is they can can be terribly inaccurate when you are not moving due to the heat of the engine and radiator. They are only accurate when you are moving at a good clip.

I've had mine get stuck after washing it.

When working, it is usually about 5 minutes before it gets "unstuck" from the overnight garage temperature.

BTW, mine seems to be pretty darn accurate when it is working.

I find mine reasonably accurate too. I haven't checked it against a regular thermometer but it appears to be realistic.
